Life changing!
After getting Covid in 2020, ironically about a month before the quarantine, I became chronically ill. I lost my job, amoften bedbound, and I’m on disability. My entire life has changed. My husband has become my caregiver, and we had to leave our apartment and move in with my parents. When you lose all security like that, fear completely takes over. After two years of living in constant fear of the next loss, I realized that I needed to take my thoughts captive again. And so I asked my mother if she had any books about that, and she gave me this book.I have to be honest, because if it’s age, I thought it was not going to be applicable to me. It has been absolutely life-saving! The Lord has use this book to help me control my worry, I think only what is true and real today, and trust Him more than I have in my entire life. There are six main sections in the book (each focusing on one scripture passage: Training your thoughts, Winning over worry, Pressing for the prize, Counting on God’s goodness, Living out God’s plan, Accepting the Unacceptable). So every month I read a section. And I’m just going to continue to do that pretty much for the rest of my life because the truths that she expounds on in this book I need to constantly remind myself of.I highly recommend this book.

Awesome study
This is an awesome study. I've done studies by Elizabeth George before and liked them so came back for this one to get me focused. I only finished the second chapter so far and have a lot of things highlighted to help me remember. The lightbulb came on with a couple of the points and stories she included. I recommend it for any woman who wants to clear their mind and draw closer to God.

FANTASTIC!!!
I can't praise this book enough. It changed my life 10 years ago, and reading it again 10 years later just reminded me of its brilliance. I had never thought about what it means to love God with your mind, but George does an excellent job of analyzing this Scripture with wisdom, other Scripture, and common sense. I highly recommend this to anyone who desires to grow spiritually and to find tools for emotional and mental peace. As one who's struggled with depression for years, I've literally read hundreds of books on the topic. However, I found that any book I read on depression just made me more depressed. This book, though not specifically about depression, changed my life!!! It is geared toward women (specifically married women with children), but I first read it as a single college girl and it had a great impact on me. Reading it again as a married woman with a child has given it new meaning, but the same wisdom is still there. I even gave it to my dad, who found it extremely helpful. In fact, I wish E. George would write a book like this that is geared toward men.

Mind over matter
I like this book alot. It informs the reader that faith is built on believing in the goodness and kind intentions of God. For a person with a lazy mind, which wanders everywhere and goes nowhere - this is exactly what I needed. I need to remember that God does love me and whatever His will for me is, it is good. Best of all it tells me to concentrate on good things, things that are positive and beneficial, not the negative everyday news of the world,, but the truth of the spiritual world that we need so desparately but often choose to ignore.

Book - Loving God with all Your Mind by Elizabeth George
This book is a must for anyone who is struggling with life's unexpected challenges and disappointments. It is so enlightening with real life experiences and scripture quotes to back up the author's positive view points. The fact that she herself struggled with depression as a minister's wife and found relief from scripture and altering her own thought patterns impressed me. Her writing style is easy to read and her suggestions just make sense. I found myself looking forward to communing with God, more often and with more specificity. I highly recommend this book.

A refreshing reflection
Full disclosure: I read about 1/2 of this book. Still I feel I have certainly gotten my money's worth. I recommend it to people, especially Bible-believing Christians, who want an accessible perspective on Godly priorities. (A male co-worker/college student borrowed it and fell in love with it).I admit George's writing/reflections did seem rushed and oddly intense at times, but other reflections were especially practical and straightforward.
