You will need to purchase a Hartel Barrel Key to fully remove the barrel from the barrel casing. I got to the same stage as the above reviewer and also had to put everything back together again.Gave 5 stars as I never purchased from this seller, only giving advice.

This is part of an unnecessarily complicated door lock. Having lost a key I was told the only option was to buy new keys with a new barrel. There are no instructions for replacing the barrel. I prised off the screw covers removed the lock; dismantled everything as far as I could go - including removing a very tight circlip but could find no way to get access to the lock barrel. It has me baffled and I'm a very determined and normally competent repairer. I have been searching the net to try to find some guidance but have had no luck. I was forced to reassemble the lock and I remain at the moment with one key. It looks like I will be forced to pay a professional caravan garage to sort this and that will not be cheap. So far this has been a complete waste of money. Anyone who reads this and can offer me a clue please get in touch.
