DIA – Sharp XX Coarse Grit

Q: Medium-extra-extra fine is confusing. So is there a coarse-exta-extra fine and a fine-extra-extra fine? I doubt it. So what is the medium part?

Our extra fine is 1200 and extra-extra fine is 8000, so when the 4000 was put into production, it be came a medium extra fine to fit between the two existing extra fine grits. Phew, that was a mouth full. Have a great day! Happy Sharpening!!

Q: For kitchen knives and cutting knives, they are not Dull but I want to keep em sharp, what do I need? extra or extra2 or something else?
