This product is unreliable and extremely dangerous. We used (rarely) this product in our fabrication facility moving plates of steel (always under the SWL as stamped on the placard). After approximately 15 uses, sheets began to unexpectedly slip out of the cam arm - Sometimes from 6-8' in the air. We used (have since took it out of service) this product properly and with strict safety measures in place, therefore no one was ever injured or KILLED because of this poor quality lifting clamp. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

The biggest thing I’ve lifted so far is 3/16 plate and it worked fine.

I was skeptical when I first got it - it seems very small compared to ones I've used in the past. However, I used it to pick up an 800-900 lb sheet of 3/8" weathered steel, it did so flawlessly. The grip was very tight, and the release mechanism works reasonably smooth. Very impressed with it, for the price.

I bought this to move some 4'x8'x1/2 inch steel plate. It lifted the sheets without slipping. They slip on and then you throw a lever to lock it down. Flip the lever the other way to release. Worked flawlessly.

Works flawlessly. We’re using this at about 20% if it’s load rating, but it’s securely picking plate stock off the floor, clamped 90 degrees off vertical, and hoisting to full height with zero slip or creep.

The whole is a little small won't fit a 3 inch hook not a tool for everyday usage make sure it is all the way down on to the plate before lifting or else she will slip but for $60 it will get the job done the $400 for a good one a bit steep for as often as I use it very pleased for the price just be cautious as you always should

I didn't put it to the test with the full weight rated but for what I needed it worked fine lifting a 124# T-beam into place.

now that I have this clamp I wonder why I didn't order one a long time ago. this is the only way to lift and move 4 x 8 sheets of steel
