Kryptonite Kryptoflex 1018 Combo Cable Bicycle Lock

I do know if a bike thief is worth their trade they can pretty much steal any bicycle they want to regardless of any kind of locking system. But have to say this Kryptonite Kryptoflex 1018 Combo Cable Bicycle Lock would be a good deterrent. Since I use it to lock up my bike with a surfboard rack to go surfing I feel a bit better with this quality lock and don't have to use a key because of the combination type lock. You can buy cheaper locks but I think paying a bit extra was worth it. Now saying all of that I hope I have not jinxed myself with some sob stealing my ride. Good thing there are many other surfer bikes in the mix and would hate see the outcome catching the thief. It would not be pretty!

Great product for additional security on my bike rack. I have 5 keys in glove compartment so the easy use and setup of combination lock made sense. I ordered a 2nd one as any lock can be cut or broken to secure my expensive bike to hitch. The 2nd one will give additional time for someone to notice if something is wrong. It is has a strong cable; easy to use; simple to set your pass code and well worth considering a purchase. Recommend this Item.

I purchased this lock for my new bike - I've heard that cable locks don't provide the best theft protection, but, if a pro wants your bike, they will steal it regardless of the lock. I needed an easy to use lock that would deter the random punk from stealing my bike. This works for me!

It’s heavier than I thought, but does the job. I bought for my lightweight bike (small frame) so that I could carry the lock on the bike. It was tricky to get it in a place that didn’t interfere with the bike, since the frame is so small. I coiled it around the handle bar stem and that worked just fine.

Wonderful to know I won't have another unopenable lock in the house due to a lost key. Terrific, functional product with great strength.

Good strong heavy cable lock, probably better than I'd hoped for. Excellent price for what you get. Despite what others have said, resetting the combination from factory was as simple as following the straight forward instructions.

Looks and feels pretty robust. But heavy for commuter

This is extremely easy to use -- both in terms of the smooth motion of the combination dials and the easy-to-read numbers. It is quite flexible, making it easy to wrap through the bike wheel and body and around the seat stem. Being free from a key is quite a relief.

Es un elemento disuasorio secundario, con un nivel de seguridad bajo (1 sobre 10); por lo que se recomienda su uso con otro sistema con un nivel de seguridad mayor.En mi bicicleta (Dahon Vitesse D8) tengo el problema que la traba de 30 mm (el mecanismo de cerrado) es demasiado voluminosa y no puedo remeterla por el sillín para que éste también quede candado.
