Review has changed * "Didn't work for me at all"
*****My original review is below. It has now changed though. After taking off the adaptor and refixing it a number of times it has now decided to work perfectly with my 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8. Lens stabilisation works and they even use the Panasonic's eye focus facility. Neither my Sigma 17-50 2.8 nor my Tamron 70-200 2.8 work though. For the price, now it's working, great value for money.*****"Tried with my Panasonic G80 and both my Canon 85mm f1.8 and my Canon 50mm f1.8. Neither lens obtains focus lock, just hunting instead. The 50mm works in manual focus but the 85mm locks up the camera completely when switched to MF requiring the battery to be pulled.Since others give the adaptor 5 stars and say it works perfectly you have to question QC at Commlite since my camera works without issue with all native lenses."

Great value
Great value. I've used it mostly with vintage lenses via an m42-ef adaptor and the images are sharp and clear. No complaints at all.

Expensive, but on the whole it works well;
After earlier experiences with a Viltrox adapter (it failed to connecet with Canon EF-S lenses) I was a little sceptical about the Commlite product, which was considerably more expensive. But so far I’m pleased to say that it’s working as advertised - mostly…The good news first:1. The gadget seems very heavy for its functionality but that suggests robustness etc. It connects to my preferred camera (Lumix G9) easily, and has very slight play once mounted.2. The G9 immediatly recognises it as a lens with AF and a controllable diaphragm. The G9 uses its in-camera IS as normal. So far, this is exactly what it does with an Olympus lens. The lens is the Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 Macro. For most close-up work I normally use manual focus, with back-button focussing available to get a first approximation, fine-tuned with the focussing ring. This works well with the Commlite. But full AF also works well, to my surprise. It will never be as fast as the G9 with a native lens because there is no DfD information available. So you’ll use a lot of battery while the lens hunts to and fro! With the camera set to MF, you have the full range of Panasonic’s focussing aids (peaking, variable enlargement and the focus position guide). So MF looks like the best camera setting for my needs.3. Aperture control is exactly as with a native lens. The current aperture is displayed as normal. The usual Exif data are transferred to the camera, including the lens ID.The not quite so good:I also connected the adapter to a Lumix GX80. It was at once clear that there was more play in the mount than on the G9. The GX80 at first complained that the lens had been wrongly attached. After a re-boot (battery out and back again) it settled down, and worked normally for a few minutes, then seized up without warning.I’ve tried it again this morning, and have had no problems. In fact the GX80 seems to be focussing more quickly than the G9 (with camera and lens set to MF). I’ll keep checking, but it’s not a priority for me to use the GX80 with this lens.OVERALL: the Commlite AEF-MFT (AF) seems to work as described. I’m impressed, and I’m not going to complain about the price!

Internal Pins Broke Twice
I ordered my first one in December last year. Came and did not work. Found out half the pins inside the adapter had been permanently stuck inside the device. No worries, sent away with prime and got a new one. Worked perfectly autofocus was sharp and quick, however now, even though i stored it away for a few months with the caps on both sides one of the pins have now gotten stuck somehow without use. I can no longer return or get a replacement and I have not found anywhere online for a fix. Really need it replaced too, wish the products durability of internal components was better. The outside body is however very durable.

Five Stars
Well made and does exactly the same thing as the more expensive rivals.

Well made but does but auto focus is not precise.
I bought this to use to mount my Canon 400mm f/5.6 L lens onto my Olympus OM-D E-M1/i. I was pleased when everything appeared to work including auo focus and aperture control. However in actual use the focus is not precise and the results are not usable. I can achieve better results with manual focus. This is relatively inexpensive compared to the well known "Metabones" adapters which cost 3 times as much, but I have wasted my money and I wish I had not taken the cheap option. It is heavy and well made and fits well enough, but that is worth nothing because it does not do a good job in AF mode with my lens..

EF lenses only (does not work with EFS) but great for EF
Was a little disappointed to find out that EFS lenses don’t fit this speedbooster, but for EF lenses this works great! I’ve paired a Canon 50mm (nifty fifty) with a Panasonic Lumix G7 camera and it’s perfect and worked right away without any firmware updates. Autofocus functions better than with the Panasonic lens the camera came with and everything feels so smooth. The construction of the adapter feels very high quality and snaps perfectly onto the micro 4/3 on the camera and the lens without any movement. Definitely a good investment as I don’t think I’m going to find micro 4/3 lenses in the same quality as Canon EF.

Excellent speedbooster!
This speed booster is one solid little guy! I'm using it on my Panasonic Lumix G9 with Canon EF lenses and so far it seems to work quite well. The autofocus likes to hunt around a fair amount, but I think overall it's pretty decent. I tend to stay in manual mode (manual focus as well as manual mode) for my video work and I prefer that. For still photography, the autofocus is ok. Not as fast as my native camera, but I'm quite impressed with the optics so far. It's nice to have a bit more of an aperture boost for low-light situations.I like the fit between lens and camera, there's no wiggle room and it fits snugly (without grating or getting stuck).I've never used a Metabones speed booster before so I can't compare, but for the price, this is exactly what I was looking for.

All functions work as described with proper set-up.
Works just as it says. Tested with Canon 85mm 1.8 USM, Canon 50 mm 1.8, and Sigma 17-50 2.8 IS. All functions work with each lens as long as I attach the lens to the adapter first, then attach to camera (as the instructions say, I messed that up at first and thought it was defective). Make sure to turn IS function on the lens off when starting up, you can engage it later, but for some reason, the in-camera IS won't work if the IS on the lens is switched on at start up. Camera did freeze a couple of times and had to remove battery to reset (coming from a Canon T3i/Magic Lantern so that wasn't a big surprise, otherwise I might have been freaked out). Build quality is excellent. All lenses snap into place securely and the adapter connects just as well to the camera body. Using with a Panasonic G85. Tested for both still and video

OTTIMO rispetto al prezzo
The media could not be loaded.
