Thomas 7453 Petri Dish, Stackable, Sterile, Bulk, 100 x 15 mm Size (Pack of 500)

I was a bit worried about the quality and also about receiving broken dishes (based on other reviews), but I was pleasantly surprised on both counts. I mean, these aren't the most sturdy petri dishes on the market, but they are still better than I expected them to be. Better yet the packaging was really professional. Not a single one was broken AND they are also wrapped in decent plastic as well (25 in each sleeve), which I am assuming are sterile. I was always trying to clean and reuse more expensive dishes, but with these I don't even care if they don't all make it through a few washes, because the price is low enough that even one use is all I would need to keep buying more.

The package arrived quickly and intact. The dishes were packaged well in stacks of twenty-five. I only found two damaged dishes and all the sterile packaging was secure. The dishes are sterile, light weight and vented with clear, easy to see through, plastic tops and bottoms. These are a great value for schools, small labs and citizen scientists.

Impeccable. After having ordered from another online retailer previously and receiving plates w/cracked and splintered lids - I can safely say these are superior. Incredible value, and the packaging is really good.The plastic sleeves sealing the 25 plate stacks are even nice! - easy to slip back on a poured tower if you have other work to do and want to add another layer of contamination protection.

Great quality dishes, the plastic is sturdy and the sleeves are thick plastic. This allows me to pour the agar while it's still pretty hot without the plastic warping. They are also sterile as described. The plastic on these sleeves is pretty thick, so it protects the dishes well. I've never seen a ripped sleeve from this company.The only thing that keeps it at a 4 stars for me is that every few sleeves, you get a broken dish or two. I'm pretty hard about giving out 5 stars though. But i'v never ordered petri dishes without getting that. The bad dish rate is pretty low, and I don't plan on switching suppliers as long as the price remains around where it is.at 18 cents a dish, getting a some broke dishes in an order can add up to a small amount of money (like a buck or so). If the supplier is able to increase the price per case about a dollar, and eliminate getting any broken dishes by adding a dollar more worth of packing materials, it would probably result in a neutral gain/loss for both the consumer and seller, but it would be a little better on the consumer.I would definitely recommend these dishes.

Nice thick sleeve to hold the dishes even has a tear on the side to make opening them a breeze not one of them was broken. Shipped in a larger box with big bubble bumpers things so the box holding my box would protect my box. I highly recommend

Received with multiple broken plates mostly in the middle of the sleeves. Wasn't enough for me to really worry about it because bit was still a great deal. So far all plates have been sterile that have been poured. Using for mushroom cultures.

Not a single broken dish, maybe I got lucky. Really happy with the quality, I was getting tired of buying 25 packs, I thought 500 would be excessive but now I don't have to worry about running out for a long time. They are very well packed, and have not had a single contamination issue yet. Will buy again once needed.

I honestly wish I found these sooner. I’m a small mushroom farmer and go through a lot of Petri dishes. These are a great value. They’re definitely a little thinner than what I’m used to, but they truly do the job and you can’t beat the price.

I own a lab and do microscopic work regularly. Although a couple dishes were broken in shipping, overall the quality was really good.

Dishes are 90mm x 15mm not 100mm Some dishes were cracked. Amazon did a, partial refund :) Some sleeves did not hold vacum sealed. All in all a great value for the price!
