Do not Consider this Product.
This is a terrible product & even worse customer service! No one at the company responds to service inquiries. I purchased the Raindrip SDFSTHP Automatic Watering Kit for our second story deck. In the first three months I had to replace the timer and modify the system to accept drippers that didn’t leak at the connection. I wasted so much water and plants were drenched because the timer didn’t work correctly. What a waste of additional money and time, in attempt to mitigate a poorly manufactured system. Why should I spend my time and money on a company who lacks the professionalism to respond to their customers.

No more plants suffering from lack of water! Nice system that is stylish as well as functional.
Review of Raindrip drip irrigatorFor those of you who do not know what drip irrigator means, it literally is setting a timer to water plants automatically without much human intervention. For me, it meant saving plants from suffering from thirst and inadequate watering! The raindrip irrigator was purchased with pricing, functionality and ease of setup in mind.It is now watering over 12 fruit trees and tropical plants in the hot Florida sun three times daily, without any leaks or any failure yet. Plants that were yellow at the edges of leaves are now thriving. The irrigation device is placed right on the hose faucet. I had to remove the air release attachment between the hose and faucet to prevent drips. Then the large tubes were placed and smaller irrigation 1/4 tubes puncture into the larger tube to receive water flow to the plants. Small stakes are used to stabilize the drips. The water coming out is akin to a small stream of water probably a quarter of that from a refrigerator water dispenser. All in all, very happy with the results, though planning is required to make the whole system functioning.PROS:1) Price2) Contains all the items you will need to set up a drip system. Be aware that it is enough for realistically 5-6 trees depending on how spaced out they are, and may need to buy more tubing and drip attachments3) Nice color system matches decor nicely, blending in with the home; tubing is flexible and of good quality4) You can also use a watering garden hose in addition with the Y adapter which is a nice inclusionCONS:1) Tubing supplied is on the more minimal side; it will be sufficient if all your plants are in one line; ours was along the whole Lanai2) The regulator seems to decrease pressure too muchThe system did require purchasing additional 1/4 ID tubing, though inexpensive, and several additional drips as they come in all flow rates up to 2 gallons/hr, and different spray patterns. We have one the sprays in all directions that waters a heliconia plant and 6 orchids at the plant base. The system can be configured to every so many hours, and a manual override to water at will or use the garden hose off timer. Battery power seems to be good. The drip irrigator device seems to be water proof.

Everything you need
Everything is pretty easy to set up and use.Two issues - the connectors for the large diameter lines tends to pop out (see pic). And the small diameter black plastic hose is dang stiff- hard to install fittings and nearly impossible to remove…

Preassemble Feedlines Leak
To match the existing landscaping drip lines, I bought two RainDrip kits. The pre-assembled "Clamp and Pierce" feed lines were worthless. I can chalk up a couple of failures to my learning curve. After laying in the main line and flushing, that line remained pressuring throughout the rest of the installation. It took a lot of force to press the "Clamp and Pierce" fittings. I think I cracked the head on the first one. The second try, was marginally successful. This little leak at the pierced hole was use to feed water to the region. The third try was a real wash out. And finally I got one "Clamp and Pierce" fitting to "snap" on without leaking at the hole in the main line. Luckily, a hardware store about twenty minutes from my home carries a full line of fittings. I bougth a bag of fittings, just for a back up. But actually switched over to using these exclusively rather than the "Clamp and Pierce" feed lines in the kit. The two successes the I did have with the "Clamp and Pierce" fitting was to start the hole with the RainDrip "Hole Punch" that I got from the hardward store.

timer is not working so well after a year.
It has been more than a year since installing it. I would give it 5 stars, but the timer stop working recently.

Good all in one system
This is a nice all in one pkg. and a huge timesaver for my tomato garden. Installation is pretty straight forward and simple. My main beef is with the 1/4 inch tubing. The material degrades fast causing leaks and pops off the line or shoots the head off. After glueing and tying a few I just bought some better 1/4 inch line and everything works great now. The timer works flawlessly for me so far.Very happy with this purchase just be ready to buy some cheap 1/4 line replacements.

Excellent kit for smaller spaces and inexperienced gardeners
This is the 4th year of use and it still works well. Each winter I disconnect it from the faucet outlet, remove timer batteries, store timer inside, drain the main feeder line, and cover lines with pipe foam insulation. It helps to make a plan/diagram of how you want to lay out the main feeder line and where you want the individual drips to be. I needed an additional 50 ft of feeder line and some extra drips for ground cover but I was able to get everything in my small patio covered without it be obtrusive. This kit is still a good value especially if the area you need to cover is not large. My patio is 44x10 with one planted area 6x10 and 2 strip planted areas about 15x1.5 and 10x1.5. I'm still very pleased with it's performance and value.

Great idea. A little extra work is needed.
Very easy to install. However the drip lines lost tightness after a couple of uses and started leaking or completely fell off the drip cap.The puncture-onto-hose patent is great, but it spring leaks too. Mind you, I had turned the main water valve at less than a 1/4”-in other words, a regular 3/4” hose would be dripping at this flow. So, in general it’s worth the money for the timer included and the patented line-puncture system.I’m buying 1/4” hose clamps to secure the drip lines.
