Victoria Silicone Cast Iron Handle Cover. for 10 to 12 inch Skillets, Large, Red

You need to get this if you don't want to third degree burns on your hand. It's a little loose when cold but fits better when things get HOT!

Good product, but sometimes it is easier to grab the protection you are more used to. Needs to be out to remember to use!

We have the Victoria 12 inch skillet. We got the Victoria large silicone handle cover for use with it. The cover is snug at the tip of the handle. But when you try to lift the pan (even empty), the rest of the handle is so loose that the pan tips in your hand. I’m baffled at the design. To me it’s dangerous to use if you ever plan to lift the pan.

If you have a cast iron skillet, you need one of these, otherwise you will burn your hand on the pan handle at some point. Simple as that. Sure, you could just use a potholder whenever you pick up the skillet, but having this eliminates that necessity, and helps secure your grip on the handle as well. The silicone resists heat beautifully when the pan is used on the stove--although you should always be careful when putting the whole skillet in the oven, as both the pan and the grip will be hot in that case. These things are not like Space Shuttle thermal tiles or anything.

This handle slides on to a small 8 inch pan easily and comes off just as easily and does not grip at all !!!Should be one inch shorter and very much narrower .. This was obviously badly, inadequatelydesigned ...threw away as completely useless

fits our small pan perfectly! Now we don't need a mitt.

I'm disappointed with the Victoria Silicone Cast Iron Handle Cover. For 6.5 and 8 Inch Skillets . It is to large for the 6.5 inch Victoria Skillet - it's loose so this makes it dangerous to carry the small hot skillet to transfer cooked item to a plate. I still have to use a potholder over the cover and grip very tightly, because I can feel the heat through the cover. Victoria needs to improve this product!
