They did a good job for us
Our first time using hiking walking sticks. They did a good job for us. Didn't like that you had to continue to tighten them as they come loose with jarring of use.

Perfect - For My Specific Need
I noted the negative reviews but bought anyway. Granted they aren't as comfortable or as sturdy as more traditional designs, but they do exactly what I want. I took them on a day trip via train to NYC, saw a play, train home, dinner out, and they were perfect. Fit nicely in my pocket, did the job, and I didn't have to depend on my wife to have an extra set of glasses for me.

Broke first time I used them hiking. Wouldn't stay ...
Broke first time I used them hiking. Wouldn't stay together no matter how hard I twisted . Only plus was they are small enough to put in backpack. I returned. Cord came loose that held the poles together/ plastic piece broke off.
