It looked more like a hat than what it is intended to do
I have an eight year old shih tzu and it did not fit his face. It looked more like a hat than what it is intended to do. Did not help at all when my dog had his eye surgery. Just stuck to the cone the vet gave me.

Protection for the eyes
In less than two weeks my poodle bichon mix had broken the nosepiece on this. He does have a short muzzle but he somehow broke the nose piece and it just didn't work and he has ongoing eye issues My Hope was this would be the perfect replacement for the cone

Eye protection @ $35.27
The media could not be loaded. The optivisor did it's job protecting my dog's eye from anymore damage while it is healing from an eye ulcer. I think there needs to be an adjustment for the top part of the head strap and a strap needs to be added to connect to the dog collar so that it does not move side to. I added a Velcro strap to mine.

Much better than a cone!
It was a bit challenging to put on at first, but online videos helped tremendously. The fit is pretty good for my shih tzu and it seems to be protecting his eyes pretty well post-surgery! Only problem has been when he rubs his face on furniture or the carpet, it pushes dangerously close to his eye. Overall much better than the cone!

Poor fit
There were no instructions for putting this thing on your dog-had to find a YouTube video. It was ill-fitting. My dog was able to pull it off or it would slide down his face. Went back to dreaded e-collar.

We could not get the short snout visor to stay ...
We could not get the short snout visor to stay on our dog, no matter how tight we made it. Even if she had kept it on the hard plastic was digging into her ears and the back of her neck.
