I've had IBS for about 20 years. Tried different diets but it was very hard to control. Started taking the butyrate and it was like a miracle. Less sudden urges, stomach pain, better overall mood, greater regularity, and most importantly when I go to the bathroom it is like when I was in my 20s and 30s- normal. I have tried both the Sodium Butyrate and the Sodium and Potassium Butyrate. Both seem as effective. The potassium has the benefit of having less sodium. If you are having digestive issues, I would consider giving it a try. I take two capsules in the morning first thing.

Started taking this at the recommendation of an amazing gastroenterologist. She has me taking it before each meal to help seal my gut and prevent leaky gut / excessive permeability. The results have been impressive!Note: the capsules stink. This is normal. I keep some in my pocket inside two freezer ziplock bags and it doesn’t stink through. this minor inconvenience is well worth it.

Very good butyrate.

Tried calcium based Butyrate by another company with mixed results. I could tell that Butyrate was somewhat working though, but not as well as it should. I actually didn't like the calcium-based supplement, since I don't like many of the sources of calcium on the market. Was glad when I found BodyBio Sodium-Potassium Butyrate. This has worked consistently for me for overall gut health and general well being. I would recommend this brand and this version of Butyrate from BodyBio. BTW none of these smell good, but it's their functionality, so I can easily overlook it :)

I have late stage chronic Lyme disease and have been on various combinations of antibiotics for several years. Therefore, you readily can see how lacking good bacteria in our colon, such as when we take antibiotics, can lead to an insufficient supply of butyrate, which is created in the lower colon. A BIG plus, for me, is that it helps lower the inflammatory cytokines that cause so many unpleasant symptoms and pain. I don't find that butyrate is widely recommended in Lyme protocols. However, I am trying to spread the word on Lyme forums/GI forums, as here is a product that can help diminish so many of the GI symptoms associated with Lyme disease!

This is my third time ordering. I have been using it to help with my digestion issues. I have to say I have really noticed a dramatic difference. I used to be bothered with nausea and stomach pains no matter what I ate. Since I have been taking this product, I rarely have any problems. It did take me using it for several weeks, though. It wasn't instantaneous, but with continued use, has really worked. I am very happy with this product and will continue to buy it.

This has helped ease my pain and bloating associated with IBS. I have tried many other products but this works!
