Better than you expected.
These are the best abrasives I have used. They can be washed after using, last a long time and the 4000 grit will give a mirror finish with water based poly. I have 2 sets, one for wood working and one for metal polishing. I keep them separate because I use polishing compound for metals and don’t want that on my wood finishes. They aren’t cheap but they are worth the cost.

real deal professional grade
This is a real deal professional grade abrasive product. This stuff is actually pretty amazing and abrades (sands) incredibly well. When I first got it, I wasn't so sure. The pads are different from anything I've seen. The scuff sides didn't look like it would do much or last very long, but man, to the contrary, these things work fantastically smoothly and quickly.I clear coated a spherical chunk of aluminum with a 2k product, which is very hard when cured, that didn't come out right. I used the 500 grit with sprits of water to do the heavy work, and this abraded the clear coat away, EASILY! I then sanded successively up to the 4,000 grit and the aluminum was so shiny I almost didn't need to polish it. Buffing with a light cutting pad and Meguiars M205 produced a MIRROR-like surface.

but I had heard good things, and what I heard was true
I've never used these before, but I had heard good things, and what I heard was true. Although I bought them with the intention of just using them for hand sanding/finishing work, they actually worked with my hook and loop Black & Decker orbital sander, which...with the higher grit pads...meant I could actually use them to buff the wood. I'm a novice wood worker, so this was a pleasant surprise. Great product, highly recommend, and the seller shipped them to me very quickly as well!

These work great for polishing lacquer
These work great for polishing lacquer. I used them to polish the top of refinished furniture and the pieces come out factory smooth. Use multiple (6 to 10) coats of lacquer. Let it dry a few days and then use these with some slightly soapy water in increasing grits. The backing clings well to my hook and loop orbital sander.

love my Abrelon have been using it for a very long time I have a ball spinner like the pro shops use, my son also has one and use Abralon sanding disks
