Sturbridge Country Rag Rug in Stone 30" x 50"

I bought this rug in 2 different sizes. Love the look, construction seems sturdy, fits well with my decor. As did other reviewers, I immediately noticed a strong musty smell. I washed the rugs on delicate cycle with "Oxyclean" but the odor persisted. I sprayed them twice on both sides with "Natures's Miracle", a product you find at pet stores to eliminate odors from pet "accidents". That helped, but did not get rid of the smell entirely. It's been about 6 weeks now and the musty odor is almost gone.

Seems well made, although I only just got it. It does not sit perfectly flat on the floor, but not too bad.. I don't think you'll trip on it because the rug will just move if you hook it. Maybe it'll settle down as it gets trodden upon. Good size for a kitchen run.

Ended up using this as a bath mat, and I love it. I had one of those cushiony micro-fiber bath mats before and it was constantly looking dingy. The variable colors in this and the awesome texture work great as a bath mat (I wouldn't necessarily pour buckets of water on it and expect it to absorb it all). Texture and colors hide dirt and grime until you can wash. Washing is super easy, throw in the machine and hang dry. (I've even thrown in the dryer for a little while to speed up the process.) Comes out great.The base color is a creamy off-white, with blacks, sky blues, mint greens, lavenders, grays and taupes laced through it. Sounds like a strange combination, but it adds some visual interest, and it's really very neutral. I have to say the colors weren't what I was expecting, but I love how it looks in my gray, white and hickory bathroom.I will probably buy more of these.

a little smelly and linty as other reviewers have mentioned but i tossed it in the dryer with some damp towels and the smell is mostly gone, and in not in the habit of sniffing my floors :) beautiful colir and quality

Love the rugs, very easy to clean- just machine wash. Ordered three of the same color and one had quite a bit of grey tones and none of the golden tones I wanted. I think this is typical of rag rugs. Well made.

This rug is exactly what I wanted. It looks very much like the photo and has the colors I was hoping it would have for my kitchen. I have it in front of my kitchen sink and the size is great because it catches the water that sometimes drips from the dishes in the sink as I place them in the dishwasher. We have a wood floor and it doesn't like water. I have not washed it yet to know if it will hold up.

Rug was as pictured, and not disappointed. The dye smell was really overwhelming. I sprayed it with Febreeze and hung it outside for several days. The smell finally lessened enough to bring it in.

I was leary of buying this rug because of a couple negative reviews but I’m so glad I bought it! The quality is great! The price is great! I’ve bought similar rugs at Walmart for more money that were not nearly the quality this rug is! Great selection of sizes and a wonderful selection of colors. Will be purchasing many more!
