BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE BUT AFTER TRYING TO SEE HOW IT WORKED I NEVER GAVE HER A CHANCE TO USE IT. DID 3 DOZEN EARS FOR FREEZING. SHE BLANCHED THEM FIRST THEN COOLED IN COLD WATER. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS THE CUTTER WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH BUT WORKED PERFECT EVEN ON THE LARGER COBS. KEY MAYBE TO TURN THE CUTTER AS YOU WORK DOWN THE COB. ORDERED ANOTHER FOR A FRIEND TODAY.

What I liked: The product cut deep enough to include the germ, but without taking the husk, mostly without crushing the kernels which was my primary reason for purchase. I don’t mind sacrificing ease of use for qualityWhat went wrong: The cutter is welded to inside of the sleeve on 2 sides. The weld on one 1 side failed the first time used on ear number 3, it was still partially useable until the 2nd failed on cob #6.The product could be improved by better construction. Photos 2 and 3 are the points of contact, they are completely smooth and show absolutely zero adhesion of the cutter braces to the body of sleeve. A product designed to fail.The seller writes to contact them with any issues, which I would have like to have done, but did not find the option to contact seller.

The product did not come with directions, so it took us a few tries before we realized the best approach is to use it horizontally rather than vertically. It does not expand to accommodate thicker ears of corn. It can still be used on thicker ears, but is a bit more of a struggle and messier. A layer of corn remains on part of the cob, but not very much and it is easy to eat that layer off the cob. While this tool minimizes the spray of kernels of corn around the surrounding area, it does not eliminate it.

I always used a knife to cut corn off the cob, my husbands Uncle, is a Farmer, and grows areas of corn, my father did too. He showed me this corn stripper he had, and I was impressed. Using a knife, is a thing of the past. This is quick, thorough, less messy, and not dangerous. I recommend this for people who grow there garden and do canning .

This tool works great ! My husband is in the process of getting a dental implants which has been going on for 6 months. Now he can have corn I just strip the ear for him and boil or grill the kernels. It is so quick and easy to use , washes up well and doesn't take much storage space

Wow, I had no idea this is SO easy to use. Stripping a corn is like a hot knife cut through butter. Works on all the corns I have. For the smaller ones, some parts of kennels are still attached to the cob, but you can just re-twisted to take them off. I ordered the 100% metal type since I thought it would be hard and all metal can last longer. But now I think the plastic cover one would work just as fine.Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this corn stripper because bagged corn is just not the same as corn on the Cobb! It works great although sometimes can get a little slippery & its a little difficult to get all the corn out but it does the job for sure, so much that I had to go back and buy my mother in law one once she saw mine!
