I started off because I got something in my email about heads-up display. It's been for 5 years since I looked at it it looks pretty lame for 5 years ago. The ad I received was for some piece of Darker plexiglass that reflected your phone up like a heads up display and I use the term like very loosely. After I read a few reviews or realize that during the day the image was very hard to see due to Reflections need a dark background and in this case during the day would be brighter and you couldn't see it. So I did some more research and like the other one this did use the phone for heads-up display but instead of it being horizontal it was vertical so you can see the phone. Real heads-up display for GPS directions what is for $500 for what look fairly lame.So all of a sudden the idea of a non-skid rubber holder that set on my dashboard and held my phone vertically so I could see it made sense. It even had a couple of small holes in the front that would hold the wire from a micro USB cable plugged into my cigarette lighter for charging.So it made sense and it wasn't super expensive so I went ahead and purchased it and gave it a try. The holder pretty much stayed in place on the dashboard with the phone in place even when I had to make a fairly quick stop or or a quick turn. I can see this play fairly well.The only problem I had was learning to put my phone into the Cradle as sometimes I would be pushing on the display on-off button on the side or putting my finger on my smartphone display. It kind of hacked me off but I really don't see any other way around it. I just had to be more careful in setting the phone up in the cradle and then setting what I needed to set.I'd much rather have a real heads-up display but I still think this is years away. I've already recommended the Cradle 2 four or 5 friends.

One reason I purchased this is I because I don't need to stick it to the front glass or to the dashboard. Because of the sturdiness we can keep on the dashboard and mount the phone. It can hold most of the phones. One small con is it moves when sudden brakes are applied.

I like this phone holder because it is a durable black holder made of tough material that can sit on a dashboard without limiting your view of driver information projected behind it. It can easily be relacated without the other mounts that are plastic with scew and clips that need to adjust it. It simply sits there where I put it until I want to move it! I keep it on the dashboard when my phone needs charging. If you need a simple non-invasive and durable (not plastic) phone mount...you need this.

Works great! Stays on the dash without sliding around and keeps phone very upright, which prevents all glare! Going to buy one for the kitchen to use for reading recipes while cooking!

Glad to get this because needed to have phone at eye level to use Waze app while driving hands-free.Works well, simple design, holds iPhone 8 Plus in a Lifeproof case.Considering buying one for my husband's truck.

I love this product but it slips off my standard flat car dash. Every other one I have purchased has pushed the buttons on the sides of my phone. It slips off my dash...sent my phone flying. I use it on my desk now.

I know what you're wondering: will this really stick to my dash? No. Even as it gets dusty in the car? No. Will my phone fly around? Yes! Will it be garbage in a week? Yes!

This is my first cell phone holder for my car and honestly I love it. It as worked great for what I need. I didn't want something I had to stock to the day or window. And I wanted something I could move and this is great.
