Sir Walter Raleigh Paperback – September 1, 2018

I was headed to an academic conference in Chapel Hill, and desired a good fundamental book on Raleigh. This was exactly that sort of book.

This is more of a pamphlet. More for primary school children. Disappointed.

This reminded me of a theatre programme or museum guide. Contained all the basic information about his life but in bite sized chunks so no depth at all. More of a basic revision guide than a book, I'm afraid.

Bought to help my daughter with a school project, this book was just what I'd hoped it would be. Easy for her to read, full of interesting facts and pictures that allowed her to engage with the topic.Nicely written - pitched at just the right level for someone wanting to find out more (think "guide book" rather than academic text). Recommended.
