Q: waht is the recommended SFM for this belt ( i work with metal )

I don't know the SFM, but I run a 1750 rpm motor with a 5" drive pulley for 4 years now with no problems.

Q: Where are these sanding belts made? Also, do they have bidirectional tape joint?

i believe Norton is a US company but not sure. non directional and work great running either direction. removes more material, cooler, and last longer than any other belt i've tried.
