Fabulous
I was completely thrilled to receive this boxed set! My daughter had been borrowing them from her friend and was very happy to have copies of her own, even getting her sister hooked on them. The books are about Darrell Rivers who goes to Malory Towers for school and meets the best friends people could want such as Alicia, Sally, Mary Lou, Irene, Bill, Belinda, Clarissa, and Gwen (though Gwen not so much at times), along with many others. The books were continued by Pamela Cox who wrote about Darrell's younger sister Felicity and her friends such as Susan, June, and Julie. I would have all girls read these books as everyone can find themselves in the characters.

Sad that the saga ended? Weep no more!
Pamela Cox continued the stories about Felicity and her pals. While slightly more contrived than even the original Malory Towers books, they are definitely worth the read. And, it's nice to have them all in one set. Mind you, I can't see Elinor Brent-Dyer *ever* letting someone remain such a spoiled prig as Gwendoline Mary was for so long. EBD would have had Mary Lou take her on, and Dear Gwendoline Mary would have been straightened out in one book, not a series. But, this isn't EBD, it's EB, and so, enjoy!

Fabulous
Just got the package from my mailbox and I cried all the way to my front door : my childhood came right back to me. I purchased this collection because my two daughters are at the ages when I started reading this series. I read the first two pages and it took me back to when I was their age. I know.my children will enjoy this set as I had back then and now. Reading any Enid Blyton books these days are rare and I'm glad to be able to have my children experience a bit of my childhood that instilled my eagerness to read.

Excellent - my 6 year old daughter loves them
I thought these might be dated - but apparently not! My 6 year old daughter loves the stories, characters, tricks and general girls school fun. I let her read four chapters a night but often after lights out I find her putting the light on to keep reading! She is reading at a level years ahead of her age (6) so some 6 year olds may struggle, probably more suited to 8 year olds - but the quality of the stories makes them want to read, which is most the battle. Much better than the bland boring books the schools have these days. The stories all seem to have a lesson in them - so they have also helped improve my daughters behaviour which is also great. The only problem is that there are not enough - my daughter is genuinely upset there are only 12 Malory towers books - so looks like Famous Five and Secret Seven next!

Wrong cover
The books are correct but the set I received had a different design to the one in the picture. This was annoying as my daughter wanted the design pictured,so she was very disappointed on Christmas Day.
