About 2x what it should cost but necessary for being able to strap and mount switches etc in onQ enclosure. Is my wall was 2x6 then I could screw into the back panel of the enclosure but with 2x4 walls the back panel rests on the drywall of the other side of the wall and so you can’t screw into the enclosure and need this standoff

The design is nice to conceal wire and routers, and modems, or anything you want in the wall really.

There are no holes to mount the plate vertically which limits its usefulness. I like that it contains the hole pattern of the underlying box (i.e., you don't give up any mounting points), while adding many more. Also it allows you to mount port plates vertically (the box itself only provides horizontal mounts); this was especially helpful with coaxial cables. I think it would have been nice if the entire plate were mounted at the four corners with a space running behind it for passing cables under it.

This is a UNIVERSAL mounting plate for On-Q cabinets. This isn't a Ubiquiti mounting plate for On-Q cabinets or any of product line specific plate. Your equipment most likely isn't going to line up with the mounting holes that's why they include all the slots. Also, if you don't have an On-Q cabinet or a very old one it's not going to work. I have my router, switch and POE injector strapped down tightly with velcro straps and it works great. I have the Legrand power supply mounted to the cabinet itself. Nice and tidy setup in the cabinet.

My new home included Legrand On-Q wiring cabinet which included one mounting plate. I needed another one and was very happy that I located one available on Amazon. While the price was a bit steep, the item was exactly what I needed, arrived in perfect condition within a couple days of ordering, and is now supporting a hub and cable modem.

It is hard to find components for Legrand residential electronics cabinets. I found a full range of products on amazon. The AC1040 mounting panel dropped right into place and the snap fittings hold it firmly. Great system for installing home electronics (modem, router, phone, network switch and others)

This Universal Plate does what it's advertised to do. It mounts in my Legrand plastic cabinet as securely as any of the other accessories. $28 for a piece of formed plastic is kind of ridiculous but I bought into the Legrand system so, it is what it is. My biggest gripe, which loses it a star, is the plate doesn't support the Legrand ratcheting clamps or key hole posts. It's literally a Legrand product that doesn't work with other Legrand products. The velcro is OK. I wish it was a bit wider for better grip power or maybe included a buckle for decent tightening like the metal shelf plate. I may end up replacing the velcro

I have a 42 inch metal OnQ panel. The holes in this product do not line up with the holes in the panel. So it is not universal and not designed for metal panels, despite the description.
