Work Up Double Pedestal Single Motor Electric Adjustable Stand Desk

Upon delivery the package was damaged a little from delivery but I do not blame Work Up for that at all. I believe UPS or FedEx just handled it poorly. While I was unboxing the product, the first thing I noticed is that they give you a screw driver and a hex key to put this desk together. I can't ever remember a company providing an actual screwdriver! If you have ever put a desk together in the past you may be thinking that you need to make pilot holes to screw the desk together. Not with this, it has buts set inside the wood to make everything very easy when putting it together. I would recommend taking the recommendation in the directions for not tightening the screws until all the screws are in. It makes aligning all the screws easy. I think it took me less than 30 minutes to put it together by myself and to start playing with it. Currently I have 2 laptops ,2 external monitors and various external HDDS and items sitting on the desk. It does not have any issues raising or lowering with that weight. When the desk is in the standing position for me, I'm not even close to maxing out the height of the desk and I'm 5 foot 10 inches tall. I love the look and feel of this desk and would purchase again.

Update 7/28/2021. I'm disappointed to share that I came back to the office after a 16 month work-from-home and this desk no longer goes up/down. It was purchased in July 2018 and didn't last even 3 years (with more like 20 months!). I initially gave this 4 stars, but now I'm giving it 2.Initial review:I love the size & stability of this desk. Having available space in standing position is really helpful for taking notes or calls while standing. I stand about 5 hours a day (working up to 8), yet also sit while collaborating with coworkers/clients. Overall, it's very stable (something many other desks lack). I've had three types of standing desks in my past and this one is my favorite. It doesn't have to swing to go up/down.Pros:* It's built well & very stable. Some desks shake in the standing position, but this one is built well & solid.* Great width. I thought it was going to be too big for my office desk, but if works perfectly with two monitors & a phone.* LOVE the extra power bar / USB built in. This really helps with managing monitors cords, which were stretching in the standing position & potentially getting crunched in the mechanism of other desks.Cons:* Keyboard tray is pretty narrow. My keyboard takes up 80% of the tray, leaving little room for my mouse. It'd be great if the keyboard tray was about 3-4 inches wider.* Lifting/lowering buttons are a bit slow. They work well, but I'm interested to see how well this functions over time (up/down 2-4 times a day 5 days a week).I did receive this desk in exchange for my honest review. And honestly, I'm very impressed with this one!

WHY I PURCHASED THIS DESK - I purchased this desk for the functionality of being able to sit & stand while I work to help improve energy levels and the overall ergonomic shape of my body while I work. I no longer find myself hunched over while I work and can adjust the desk to fit my proper posture needs. I like to start my day off standing, which helps wake me up, but also have the ability to adjust to sitting heights as well. Sitting is the "new smoking" so I heard so this desk helps me get my blood flowing while I work!PRODUCT DETAILS - This desk is extremely sturdy, with a very sleek dark brown finish on the surface. The desk is motorized and will adjust to sitting and standing heights no matter how tall you are. I am 5' 9" and stand at a height of 40 inches and sit at a height of 23 inches. The control monitor has a height indicator so I can precisely elevate the desk to fit my ergonomic needs. The control monitor also has 3 control settings that I can press to adjust automatically to a sit or stand height that fits me. The adjustment speed is steady and the desk is sturdy enough to hold my bulky books and 2 monitor screens.ASSEMBLY - This desk took me approximately 30 minutes to assemble. The directions were very easy to follow with ~10 steps from start to finish. I do recommend a team lift when moving the desk as it is quite heavy to move by myself.RECAP - I love this desk and how it contributes to a better posture for my body as I work. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get their blood flowing by standing, or adjust to a resting seat height while they work.

I work from home so a good desk is very important to me. After shopping around I found this to be the best price for the features I wanted.Here are the pros:-arrived quickly-very easy to assemble and comes with necessary tools. It took about 30 minutes.-the motorized height adjustment is such a great feature. Easy to use and you can save up to 3 heights. Heights one and two are saved as my sit/stand positions. I use the third to put the desk as low as it goes so it's subtle in my small apartment.-spacious. I have no problem fitting everything I need. I even use an additional monitor compared to what is pictures.-sturdy. At any height the desk doesn't wobble or squeak. The feet are adjustable so the desk will be level even on slightly unlevel surfaces. The keyboard tray slides in and out smoothly.-stylish. The dark wood looks great paired with the matte black hardware.The only thing to be aware of is the desk is a little heavy in the box. Use a dolly or a friend! Five stars.

I had been shopping online for a standing desk for months when this particular item showed up in my recommendations at an UNBELIEVABLE price. I jumped on it because it was the least expensive I'd seen for a quality, sturdy unit, new or used. When my NEW, fully assembled desk arrived, I was thrilled with it right out of the packaging. I was a bit concerned that it was slightly damaged (chipped in one place, screw cracking underside surface of the desk) but function beat out the cosmetic flaws. After a week of use, I went to try to buy a 2nd unit so I'd have one at home and work but the price had changed. If it goes on sale again, I'm definitely getting another one. Great product!!
