Aretha's Best

A veces he iniciado a coleccionar álbumes al comprar un CD “Greatest hits of…” y este podría se el caso. La voz, la calidad de interpretación, el género, todo es recomendable.

All good songs. I really enjoy this CD

So glad that I ignored some of the reviews and decided to go ahead and purchase this! I notice that many reviewers state that her 60's-70's work was her best. I however feel that Aretha has put out some good music beyond that time frame, though she had some of the greatest songs during that era!I purchased this Cd because it covered her work from the 60's through the 80's! I love her songs from the 60's and 70's but also her songs from the 80's ! This cd was ideal for me because it had just about all her hits, and I enjoyed it from start to finish! I will be playing this alot. I won't list every song on the Cd or even my favorites! they all have a place in my heart. You can't go wrong with this! No greatest hits Cd will have every song, but I'm personally happy with what they did include. Anything else I can always purchase another Aretha cd for, but this is pretty inclusive of her career from 60's-80's!

Usually when I buy a CD there are a few songs that I like, and ignore the rest. On this CD there are only 4 songs that I really didn't care for. This was my preference of course. I believe there are 18 songs on this CD and so 4 out of 18 is not bad at all. So with that said-don't be afraid to buy this CD. Hopefully you will enjoy it like I have.

This is by far the best collection of Aretha hits that I wanted. I searched every CD looking for the all songs I wanted and this was it. Beautiful sound.

Any artist who recorded as many great songs as Aretha has done cannot be perfectly represented by a one disk greatest hits collection. Having said this, this particular collection gathers many of her greatest singles together, from her second and third record labels. That means you get Respect and, if you want it, I knew You Were Waiting For Me. This is the only Aretha collection still in print that has her hits from the 60's through the 80's. It's a solid collection of hits; if you buy it for that reason, you'll be satisfied.

It's a very good CD, all her greatest hits. I bought it for the memories, as she was the number 1 'Queen of Soul!'
