Stupid, stupid, yummy, tasty, addictive, mouth-watering, tender little morsels of heavenly goodness. Evil. So yummy. Completely ruined all other jerky for me. Sad, sad, wonderful day when I found this envelope of joy.I am conflicted about it. Obviously.My chiweenie says it's the best thing he has ever stolen from my tea tray. He's probably right, the little dickens. He's addicted as well. His ears perk up and his tail goes straight up and his lower lip starts to tremble when I take out a packet. And, because I am a saintly sainted saint, I share the blissful booty with him. Also, he can get a little handsy (and by handsy here, I mean bitey) when his trembling lip doesn't get him his desired response.What can I say? I am conflicted about a great many things.I'll ruminate about my many conflicts while I open up another one of these packets and nibble my way through it with the little monster. Woot. Feel free to join in. Just remember that I warned you. It's evil. And by evil here, I, of course, mean tangy, sweet, pieces of happiness.Toodles!

First off, we ordered the beef and for some reason were sent the turkey instead. Rather than whining, stomping our feet, and requesting an exchange, we just ate the bag of turkey. It was very soft and had a great flavor. The primary drawback was a bit of an aftertaste (you know what I mean if you are familiar with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving). The portion was small and the price was rather high; though sadly that is not uncommon in the world of jerky. Overall a quality product but it will not be purchased again.

OMG, I love this stuff. I'm not a fan of jerky but I am in the process of modifying my carb loaded diet to a more protein based plan and jerky is a recommended snack, and the Perky Jerky is the brand I was pointed to. The jerky is tender, yet still chewy. Just the perfect amount of chewy. The pieces are smaller than traditional jerky, and some reviews presented that as a downside, but I like the size pieces in the package. For the flavor, I purchased the "Original" since I'm not into all the flavors. It is delicious. It starts with a very slightly sweet taste, common to most jerky, with a bit of black pepper topping it off. As you chew, the pepper flavor increases and there is mild latent heat to the flavor which lasts for a minute or two after you swallow. Only down side is the price, but jerky just isn't a cheap food. So relatively then, I guess the price is ok.

First off, let me say that out of the countless different kinds of teriyaki beef jerky I've tried in my lifetime (at least 20), this is hands down my favorite of them all. Everything about it is fantastic, from the flavor (it's the most like actual teriyaki beef, imo) down to the texture, tenderness, and moistness.That said, the two-pack I ordered from Amazon seemed to taste a little off when compared to the store-bought packs I've tried. The packs were at least a few weeks from expiring, but the flavor seemed a bit off. Not bad, just not as good as the fresher store-bought packs I've purchased.If I was unable to buy this stuff from the local grocery store, I'd probably order it again. But if I have the option of buying it in the store, I'd much rather do that.

Great flavor and a Great Jerky, but I give it 4/5 because of 2 things. Firstly, they claim it is "the best", it isn't, I've had better, secondly, it expires quite quickly. It says you have 48 hours to consume it after it is open. It is such a short shelf life if you are a single person trying to eat an entire back and want to save on portions. I would love to see a better shelf life and a bit more kick to this product for the price and the claim to be "the best". This is not to deter you from buying it, but just my thoughts on it!

Wonderful product, I've been ordering via Amazon for a couple of years now and decided to sign up for the subscribe and save option because I enjoyed it so much BUT when my last shipment came in the mail as expected with my 2 bags of Perky Jerky one of the bags was torn open straight across the top of the bag at the safty seal. I have never previously had any problems with Amazon packages ( and I have received countless shipments overt the years) but this was scary, considering it is food product and my family eats this. Who knows what opened my bag and who knows if it was done intentionally. There are to many crazy scenarios that immediately ran through my mind..from someone playing a cruel joke to possibly someone trying to poison us...there are way to many people with ill intent in the world today. I am not willing to risk anything when it comes to feeding my family something that comes from a facility that ships torn open packages when I can just buy the same product elsewhere in person.

The first time I got this jerky it was an impulse buy at Wal-Mart. It was by the check out, I was craving something savory… and protein dense jerky seemed like a better idea than the Ruffles. I was expecting the typically jerky... uniform pieces of hard leathery salty meat. What I got was much, much different, in all the right ways. I reached in and immediately thought I had picked a rancid bag. The meat was soft and tender… totally not typically. I checked the expiration date, nope, good. I took a leap of faith, and put a bit in my mouth. Boy am I glad I did. The original flavor was delicious. The meat is tender and easy to chew (you won’t worry about dislodging a tooth). There’s no added garbage, but do watch your sodium (its jerky after all). These are different in so many good ways, and really have become that perfect savory snack for me.A new take on jerky! You will not be disappointed!
