Similac Pro-Total Comfort Non-GMO Infant Formula Powder, 22.5 Oz Tub, 1.4 Pound

I'm writing this in case someone has a similar experience to ours because reviews like this one were so helpful to me in finding a solution for my baby. My baby was very gassy, constipated and fussy on the Similac Pro-Advance. We switched him to the sensitive version (orange lid) which is for lactose sensitivity but we didn't notice a difference so my pediatrician suggested switching to the total comfort. My friend also suggested it and said it made a world of difference for her baby. Even though this is supposed to be the gentlest, easiest to digest, my baby was fussier and gassier than ever. This gave him the worst smelling gas I've ever smelled in a baby and his poop turned a dark green. He was miserable! I had no idea this was possible until I read Amazon reviews describing exactly what was happening to my baby. We switched him back to the Pro-Advance and he seems to be tolerating it better now (probably a difference of him getting older and his digestive tract maturing). I'm sharing my experience in case someone else is having the same problem because we were baffled that the gentle formula made his problems worse. Just know it's possible! It happened to us! I'm giving this 3 stars because I know it works for a lot of people, just not for us.

The seal on the outside of the package came broken. After feeding this to my baby on two separate occasions, I am concerned the formula was compromised. It seemed to be mixed with coffee creamer or something. My baby would not stop crying shortly after feeding and seemed to still be hungry. I had my husband taste it next to another container of the same brand of formula and he said it tasted different, much sweeter than the other container. I had to throw this away.

I am using Similac Pro-Sensitive and was still having gas/spit up issues so I bought this to see if it would help at all. I stopped using it after one bottle because it does not mix well and leaves formula chunks all inside the bottle. I will be trying the pre-made bottles of this type so we will see how she does with those for the gas/spit up end of things.

Super foamy when mixed. Made my sons poop very watery and dark green. Everyone I’ve talked to who has used this particular formula says the same thing

My baby loves this formula! We have bought for her plenty of other brands formula ,Infamil Neuro pro , Enfamil Gentlease, Similac Pro sensitive, sensitive, Similac Advance, Similac Soy , Similac With added rice. And definitely This fórmula stays on her stomach. She eats it happy, less fussier she Doesn’t spit up like she used too with other formulas. I will definitely keep buying but the down size is that is expensive for our budget

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I have tried EVERY formula and EVERY type of bottle and even meds and nothing worked for my little one. She was constantly spitting up multiple times a feeding (even hours after) with awful reflux. This was my “I will give it one last shot” and OH MY.. she is so so happy and has been spitting up minimally since switching from similac spit up. I am in tears bc I have tried everything. Very grateful for this formula.

Baby (2 weeks old) hasn’t been on it for a full 24 hours yet but on the other formula he could go 3 hours during the day and 4 hours at night between feedings. On this one he’s waking up to eat every two hours. So I don’t know what kind of protein it is that is easier to digest, but it’s like not having a full meal, even if he takes an extra ounce.The other thing is that it’s ridiculously foamy. To me, a delicate tummy is caused by lots of gas. So I don’t know how all these foamy bubbles can possibly help with that.

We have been using Similar pro-advanced baby formula for months and on realizing the gastric problem in the baby, we switched to pro-total comfort. Happy to switch to this. It definitely shows a noticeable difference now. Bought from other super markets until now and ordered first time from Amazon to use a coupon code provided by Similac. I would recommend this to any parents.Our baby pediatrician also recommended this over other brands and so we are confident about it. You can definitely try other formulas in the market but ensure that you don't switch too often. Stick with one once the baby starts liking any particular one without any gas problems.
