Face Reality;Lumines is God
To everyone who gave this game anything under 4 stars needs to retire from the video game world. To all of you who complain that this game is to hard...go take a nap. This game is a little complicated at first but TRUST ME!! You will catch on very quickly and you will fall in love. (I made it to level 14 on my first try and currently get up to 78). This game is pretty hard when it comes to the vs. cpu mode but thats what makes it what is is. Graphics are great, sound is great, everything is great. My favorite part of the game is when I work so hard to unlock a new skin (which can take very long by the way) and i finally get it it's like i just cured cancer.Get this game now. ORDER NOW!!!!!!!Shake ya body, shake ya body, shake ya body down to the ground......

I'm good!
Sure you hacker kids may be not even playing the thing, just using it for you know what. But I actually found this game quite interesting! Just like tetris :) just with cool techno music and sweet themes. Computer vs player mode... all the good stuff. I've even played it vs another person on a 2nd psp. Fun stuff. I always win :) It takes a little to get into the groove but then once you have the strategy become 2nd nature you can really kick some ass. Sucks to play on challenge mode when it goes for over an hour. Feels like you've committed yourself to get as far ahead as possible, but you need to do things in real life too! It's like a drug, you just keep going. Till you get bored for the time being or just don't feel like playing for a long time, so you don't even wana start.

Shipping costs way too much!
I ordered this through Amazon since it's out of stock basically everywhere locally. I did note before ordering that this is available through Amazon partner Digital Velocity. Ok, a little annoying since I can't use Amazon Prime for shipping, but I'm willing to deal with that. The only shipping option through Digital Velocity is "standard" 3-7 day delivery. Ok, a little more annoying but at least that's inexpensive. I'm still saving the sales tax on this vs buying it locally. The estimated shipping cost was reasonable.I just got the order confirmation. The receipt says it'll cost $11 to ship a PSP game for "standard" 3-7 days delivery. You HAVE to be kidding! I'm going to do everything I can to cancel this order, but since it's with a partner and not Amazon directly that's tricky.Amazon, please stop dealing with partners that advertise fake low prices and jack them up by charging 3-4 times what it costs to ship.

More fun than Tetris?
If you are the kind of person that enjoys spinning and dropping blocks until you can't see straight, this game could even be more fun than Tetris! [I do, and it is...]The one drawback for me: If I could just figure out how to get it to change the order of songs in its default challenge mode, because that first one is REALLY starting to irritate me!Well, maybe I'll just have to buy Lumines II to get around it...

One of the best puzzlers to come along in a quite a while
This game is both adequately challenging and thoroughly enjoyable, something I would not say about most other puzzle games outside of Tetris. The basic concept is simple enough for children to grasp readily, and yet it allows for strategic thinking and advancement as one gains experience playing. I would have more to say about it, but my wife hardly ever stops playing long enough to let me have a go!

Lumines
For the longest time, I thought this was pronouned Loo mins. It is actually pronounce Loo min ess.Anyone who likes geometric perpetual video games such as Dr Mario, Puzzle League, and Tetris will really like Lumines. It is eerily similar to Connect 4 but not as irascible and inscrutable. Excepting the vs CPU stage, Lumines pits no one against you except yourself. The object this video game is to build cubes of 4 cubes of any one of two colours or if possible, rectangles of 6 or 8 cubes which is the most one can accomplish in one chance but this video game has hundreds of such chances as cubes of 4 colours are thrown into a playing board.Like everyone else says in the review of this video game, it is simply unputdownable. It can not be improved upon because in terms of design, it is quite possibly the most minimalist video game there is. Kind of like a Zen garden. There is a slight military quality about it. Lumines, in its way somewhat resembles the game of go.But again, whereas go pits player against opponent whereas in Lumines, one plays against one's own skill.Specifically, the skills that Lumines develops is decision making, reflexes, peripheral vision, and HEC or hand eye coordination.
