Heirloom Rattlesnake Pole Bean Seeds by Stonysoil Seed Company

this are good beans to grow and they teat good when fresh or when frozen don't know about them dry but the sun can dry them for you leave them on the pole or not it a good bean to have for your favorite dish's

Received these seeds promptly and planted for a late summer crop. Every seed I planted germinated and grew quickly even though I think my soil needs some amending. While there aren't actually any beans yet, there are plenty of blossoms and I anticipate a very good and tasty crop. I like that these are supposed to be versatile for eating as green beans, shelly' beans or a dried bean. If the taste or production don't live up to the claims I will add an edit to this rating. Otherwise, all is good.

I had high expectations for these seeds since the reviews were great. They took a little while to get here but that’s understandable due to the pandemic. I planted them with great success of germination. Almost all the beans sprouted. The problem was that they didn’t grow as expected. Rattlesnake beans are supposed to be very prolific and produce a ton of beans until frost. But these barely grew 2 -3 ft tall. The leaves were so small and barely flowered. I got 3 small bean pods out of all those plants. They barely even climbed up my trellises. I never have any problems with my soil and everything else I planted this season did very well. So I know it’s the seeds and not my skill. I will not be buying seeds from amazon EVER again! Instead I’ll purchase from a known and reputable seed company.

Planted a row of these last weekend on the 15th and here we are on the 22nd to report that every bean sprouted. Like everyone else i also got a hand written message along with the beans. Glad to say i have it posted on the refrigerator. Means alot to me when someone goes out of their way to personally thank you for your business.To bad we rarely see businesses who care anymore. Will definetly tell friends about Stonysoil Seed Company.

I haven't planted these seeds yet but I was impressed with the fact that the seller sent a hand written thank you note and hand written instructions. It felt good to think that my money was going to help the little guy. Keep up the good work Stonysoil, God bless!Update, the beans had 100% germination and high yields that kept producing for over 2 months. Tasty and easy to spot on the vine.

All seeds sprouted and plants yielded nice crops. Be sure to remove the string from each side of the beans before cooking.Delicious cooked with ham or bacon

The plants seem to be doing fine--already climbing up the fence. The rattlesnakes are my favorite green beams.
