I bought two new casting rods and wanted to check out these reels. I own a black max and can honestly say the so far these have been just as good if not better! We will see what the long run brings but so far they are well worth the money!

I brought this reel for my son, he used to use Spincast Reel and Spinning reel. Now he wants to study how to use Baitcasting reelSo I choose this cheap one for him. Tried several time, no backslash. Anyway he loved it very much. I think it is good for studying baitcasting.

drag system decent but casts like a dream

Only 12 reviews and the very low price of this reel had me expecting it to be a cheap pos waste of money. After recieving this reel I put 20lb braided line on and did a little bit of tuning. At first it was bird nest after bird nest. I had even set the brakes on all the way to max. Finally after 30 mins of adjusting it I got it to perform to my liking. I took if out on the kayak today and it was perfect. It can cast a mile beautifully with no bird nests at all. Just need to buy a rod to that suits its gear ratio. Thank you Burning Shark or who ever made this reel and who ever decided to list it for 19.99, definitely my favorite reel at the moment.

I HAVE USED THIS REEL 5 TIMES AND I WILL SAY IT'S AN AWESOME REEL FOR THE PRICE, HAVE NOT BACK LASHED OR NESTED 1 TIME, I EVEN TRIED TO MAKE IT BACK LASH ON PURPOSE AND STILL WON'T! I USED EVERY SIZE TYPE BAIT FROM WORMS, TOP WATER, LIGHT WORMS, INTO THE WIND, WITH THE WIND, SIDE TO SIDE WIND BLOWING AND STILL WILL NOT NEST UP. KEEP THE GOOD WORK IN PRODUCING A REEL FOR THE PRICE!
