Great way to monitor a domestic battery in a campervan/motorhome
A very simple and low cost way to monitor a battery use. Highly recommended.I have installed it in my campervan on the domestic battery. It gives me a plot of the voltage over the last 30 days whenever I connect my phone by bluetooth. From that it is easy to see the state of charge both when in storage over winter and in active use the rest of the year.I've used various amp counting battery monitors before on boats - but nothing as simple and cheap and easy to install as this. And sometimes simple is better.My van has a voltage gauge on the battery but this is both more accurate and gives me how the voltage has changed over the last few days. The iphone app works perfectly for this. I've had no problems with this app. It asks for permission to use bluetooth as it has to - so no what sure is meant by asking for "scary" permissions. It just does the job.

Works well , does what I wanted monitoring a leisure battery on my mobile .
Liked ease of setup and use . Have tested over 4 discharge/charge and repair cycles comparing with a voltmeter and find the unit accurate . I'll add an inline fuse for extra safety but may not be necessary .Didn't like the app downloaded from the QR code .1. A better app has been developed 'Jmp Batt Mon II' , this has the option to save the history data via wifi .2. History data only updates if you turn off bluetooth and reconnect .3. SOC % is not correct but easy enough to consult an offline chart for correct values . This would be necessary anyway if using AGM or Lithium batteries .Worth 5 stars

easy to install
the moment I installed it and connected it to my phone it said low battery so I started the engine to charge the battery, so it saved me calling the AA, its paid for itself already

Didnt last 6 months
I bought a BM2 in Nov 2020 from 360XC having had it recommended. In the spring of 2021 I took the car off the road and connected a Cetek 5 charger for the summer whilst I used a different car. In Sept 2021 I started using the car again to find the BM2 was not working, it was though not until Oct that I contacted the supplier. The supplier (based in China) has been evasive up to the middle of Nov. They asked for a photograph of it not working and a video!!! They then suggested I send it back to China for repair! After I pushed them I said I wanted a refund or replacement they have again told me to send it back to China.So to sum up, rather than tell me 'tough luck' when I first contacted them they spun it out until the BM2 was over a year old.So if you buy a BM2 from 360XC dont expect any kind of support once the Amazon return window has closed.I am disappointed that Amazon has not been of any help in resolving this.

No good for motorcycle battery testing
The lowest battery load test on this tester is 30 Ah and motorcycle batterys are lower than 30 ah.

Immediate connection and operation
Connected immediately with app and all operations working excellent. Did cranking test easily and voltage displays accurately for me. App easy to use. Better than my last monitor from a different source. I would rate this 5 stars for its ease of use, installation and operation.

Finally an inexpensive and extensive car battery tester
This device is inexpensive and easy to use. It is really three testers in one: tests battery condition, cranking condition, and charging (alternator) condition. I like it's design, including the fact the cable exits the TOP of the device instead of the bottom, so you're not bending the cable to hook it up to your car battery. Also, the cable has plenty of length, although probably a bit more than you need (I would rather have too long of a cable than one too short). The device holds in memory the results of the last test, but apparently once you do another test it replaces any previous tests. It can also print out the results, although the information printed is a little limited (no date/time, and it can only print test results of the last test performed). It comes with a little CD that has the print software (a bit confusing since it contains software for multiple products - see below in this review for printer software installation steps). Using this tester is pretty intuitive. When I first tested it on my existing battery it analyzed the battery and advised it needed replaced. The information it gave included state of health in percent, state of charge in percent, internal resistance and conclusion. The conclusion can include phrases like "Good Battery", "Good - Recharge", "Recharge", and "Replace" (meaning it is a bad battery). I believe I saved myself a lot of trouble with my battery dying on me out in the middle of nowhere, so I appreciate the results. By the way, internal resistance for a good battery should be something less than 5%.For the cranking test this tester determines if the electrical system is getting enough voltage to start the engine, and displays cranking time in milliseconds as well as voltage. It also displays the result in an English phrase, in my case it said "Cranking Voltage NORMAL". The charging test determines if your battery is getting enough juice from the alternator to stay charged. It displays the charge with a load (like having headlamps, radio, and other electrical devices on) and without a load. It also displays "Ripple" value, which is a complicated electrical measurement (which I don't really understand but for a healthy electrical system should be low, like 10mV or so).This tester includes a USB cable to plus into a computer for printing. When plugging in the USB cable it powers the device, which is convenient since you it gives you another way to see the results of the last test without having to open your car hood and hooking it up to the battery. Since it took me some time to figure out how to set up the printing, I will provide (at no extra charge) step by step instructions:1) When you insert the CD-ROM it will come up with a screen saying Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Library. DO NOT click the INSTLL button! Instead, click the BROWSE CD-ROM button.2) Double-Click on the directory called "Battery Tester"3) Double-Click on the directory called "BA101" (Model number of this battery tester)4) Double-Click on the directory called "USB Driver", then Double-Click on the EXE file (HL-340.EXE). This will install the USB driver allowing the device to communicate with the computer through it's USB ports. Follow the directions to complete the install.5) Once the USB Driver is installed, use the directory back button to go back one step, then Double-Click on the directory called "Print Software".6) There is a file there called "PrintCom.EXE". It does not need to be installed, just COPY it to your computer desktop (you can use the drag and drop method, just make sure you do a COPY, not just create a shortcut).----------------------------1) To use the print software, first plug in the USB cable from the device to your computer.2) Then double click on the PrintCom.EXE file to start the software. There will be some meaningless printing in the main window so click the CLEAR button (located on the top) to erase that.3) On the device's main page, scroll down to the PRINT option and hit the ENTER key - this will download the test results of the last test into the software.4) Click the PRINT button in the software and follow directions to print the results on your printer.In the charging test, this little tester5) To exit the software, click the "X" in the upper right corner. Once you exit, all information in the software will be lost.I hope this information is helpful!

Macht was es soll, aber….keine 12V 9Ah
Obacht! Kleinste Batterie 12V 30ah oder 100A nach EN. Also einen Bleigel Akku mit 12V 9Ah geht nicht! Dafür braucht man das BA102 was aber in Deutschland nicht verkauft wird. Warum eigentlich nicht?

Works great for constant monitoring of your state of car battery. Used it on my Hyundai Kona Electric.

Très utile, mais détecte très mal démarrages diesel
Sensible, bonne longueur de fil, enregistre bien. Attention aux fils : ne surtout pas les modifier (y compris la cosse aluminium) car ils sont double, plats et en aluminium, donc à priori fragiles s'ils sont mal manipulés. Sur diesel, déclenche sur les bougies de préchauffage et très peu sur le réel démarrage du moteur. Dommage. A placer du meilleur côté de la batterie pour conserver une transmission bluetooth max.
