It Made A Believer Out of Me
I actually bought one of these by accident, meaning to buy the much more expensive one with the replaceable battery and light. When I realized my mistake - I thought it would be going back immediately because there was no way this little guy would be beefy enough. Wrong. This thing is awesome. It can push even big screws with ease, and has plenty of power for the kind of routine little drilling/screwing projects a homeowner is normally going to encounter. The battery lasts a LONG time between charges and doesn't run down in storage. I am stunned by how good it is given how little it weighs. It is so easy to handle - it weighs probably 20% what my old ni-cad drill weighs and the power is similar. The fact that the battery isn't swappable has been no issue so far.Yes, this is not a drill for a professional contractor who needs to shoot 1,200 screws a day. But this ought to give you a sense of where the line is: I still own a corded, 1/2" hammer drill and I still pull it out from time to time. But basically unless I am using a hole saw to cut a 6" hole through something, or need to bore a big hole through a 6x6 for a heavy carriage bolt or something like that - this is more than up to the task. This little guy is the drill I reach for probably 95% of the time now.I like mine so much I just bought another one for up at our cabin in the mountains. It is just so handy to have around, once you have one you really don't want to be without it.As far as I can tell, the only downside is that the battery doesn't seem to be replaceable. When the Lithium Ion battery does eventually die, you will probably have to replace the whole drill. But for what it costs, that isn't a deal breaker.

I probably would buy it again
I Would rate this at 31/2 because it is for very light duty projects; and for the cost of it, I thought I should get more!

great for making things a quick assembly and light duty ...
great for making things a quick assembly and light duty drilling. I use it a lot for my jeep and roof racks. Nice and compact and still has enough power. I think i bought it when it was less than $50, i dont know why the price jumped up so much... so that kind of sucks. I wouldnt buy it for $90 like it is now - so only 4 stars for it.

The best cordless drill I've owned
This little drill has all the power and versatility of any drill I've had. Not having the huge battery pack is a big plus. This one holds its charge, works for hours, and will fit in just about any space you need to drill. The convenient carry case~~small and compact, carries everything you need. This product has been thoughtfully designed, and made well. In my 64 years as a woman farmer, this drill has been the one that I look forward to using. I've used it to build a shed, and around the house. My arm doesn't get tired from holding it, so I can work much longer. It hasn't let me down.

Initial delight transformed into huge disappointment. Rethinking my aliance to Skil tools which I own a few.
I bought these to use in the house and occasional light work in home electric repairs . Initially I was happy with it, enough power and light weight which was the main concern. Good battery life. All great if you barely use it.That is until you use it more than just occasionally. After a short time it would not start. I would shake it and then it would work. And it is not the batteries. It appears its the contacts in the motor which is sealed fail. Unfortunately, there are no parts and now its discontinued. In a last attempt after calling Bosch and suggesting I send it in, I was told there is no hope for it. Waste of time and money. I don't understand why ask to send in if no parts are available.I own 3 of these in different state of use. One in pristine condition in my fathers house for when I visit.I would not recommend this product. It is inexpensive but it seems you get what you pay for. I have a Ryobi than is equivalent to this one, and that one is still going strong. Plus it has removable batteries that give it more flexibility. They should not launch products half baked like this. These are sold in the big blue hardware stores.

Goofy shallow chuck -- weird??
The interior shape and depth of the chuck on this thing is poorly designed -- maybe a 1/2" deep. The jaws don't grab a hex bit just right also weird. Seems to hold the charge (supplied by the cheapest, crappist type of unit available today) OK . It has a single purpose use in our shop so I kept it, but certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

Great drill
This drill got a poor review for Consumer Reports, but it gets a great review from me. If you want a small but powerful 3/8" drill for occasional use by a homeowner then this drill is for you. It holds a charge for a long time and gives a tremendous amount of torque or speed. If it had a couple of LED lights it would be better, but for the price and ease of use it can't be beat. It is light and compact. This is not the type of drill that a professional would use, but great for homeowners.

Excellent Small Drill
I have two 20 V Li-Ion drills but wanted a small, lightweight drill with a 1/4" chuck . Many manufacturers make small drills but they don't have adjustable chucks. I wanted this one for model work where drills 1/8" and smaller are required and ease of changing bits is essential. This is perfect because of its small size, ease of use and flexibility. If you require a light duty drill, I highly recommend this one.
