OSNY 5 inch Automatic Spring Loaded Center Punch Tool

I bought a pair of these to keep in my toolbox in case one didn't work. Bearing in mind the price paid you get what you paid for and nothing extra. Also know that they come via itinerant steamer from China so they take a while to arrive. But eventually they did arrive and for now they do work as described, although I don't expect them to last long going by the machining, which seems a bit loose. But for $5/pair delivered I don't expect lifetime quality here.

After going through a citizens fire class and using this type of device to quickly/easily break car windows I bought several so that each family member could have one in their car in case of emergency. But they don't work the greatest. A couple only work half the time. They all seem to take way more pressure on the point to get the punch to work than those our fire department uses. Guess I should see if I can find out the manufacturer of the punches the FD uses. I'd suggest trying a different brand.

The spring-loaded punch doesn't always punch! I sometimes have to bang it around and play with the screwed-on parts to get it to work. I am no pro, so it's okay that its a bit of a pain. It would be nice if it just worked every time.

I should have gotten the ones with the round wooden handle that fits better in your hand when you push them to make a mark. These work fine and we’re easier to use after I adjusted the spring tension a little.

Only one of them works. Didn't send it back because they were really cheap and not worth my time. The one that does work, works really well

This center punch tool came with two, which is always a bit of a red flag, quality wise. It worked okay for a little while, but then became really unreliable due to the internal hammer mechanism tolerances being too high.Just do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money on something that's actually quality. SMH

Got 2 in a package. Wasn’t expecting much for the price.Each one worked exactly 1 time. I took them apart, fixed the springs so they were straight again. They each worked one more time before breaking.Put them in the trash.
