Absolutely necessary for the Civil PE test! Colored illustrations make it very easy to understand.

It ought to be criminal for publishers of this "book" to charge what they do. I am not saying an engineer cannot / will not benefit or operate without it. I am saying that at a page length of 53 pages the cost is about $2.80/page.

Should be Shamed
Look I NEVER write reviews even though I've bought appr 1000 books from Amazon. This is theeee biggest ripoff I've experienced in a long time. Like another reviewer stated there are only 53 pages INCLUDING 7 pages of table of contents and forward.I'm surprised NCEES recommends this "book" for the PE Civil Test. It should be criminal the way the amount charged ($85+) for essentially a PDF stapled together. Shameful!!!

This is not worth the price
This is only really 45 pages of information with about a third of it being tables and pictures. With it being printed in 2012 the codes it references are way out of date. Just follow standard engineering practices for masonry wall design and for connections into masonry.

It is absolutely overpriced
It is a 53 page book, very low quality publishing. It is recommended for the PE exam. You may get one or max two questions on masonry bracing on the PM part. It is probably not worth the investment. I purchased it at the MCAA web for $85.00 plus shipping charges for a total of $98.02I regret buying it.

Rip OFF, buy only if needed for PE exam.
Absolute rip off, I ordered this book directly from MCAA and paid over $90 for this garbage. I only bought it because I needed it for my PE exam, I would have never bought this junk otherwise.
