Worked great on my KM 56 RC-E Kombi engine
This says it's an aftermarket part, but as the pictures show it has Stihl cast right into the metal. It seems likely to be a part that was manufactured on the same production line as the Stihl carburetor, but ended up in a different box going out the back door, and I assume at a much lower price. Mine came with 2 gaskets and an extra primer bulb.

Fit good but the throttle linkage was a totally different design make sure you pay attention to which style throttle wire you have because stihl changed it up on the fs 56. I’m sure it would work perfect if used on the right year model stihl

Check linkage for compatibility.
It is exactly the right carburetor for a Stihl FS56c save for one minor detai. The throttle linkage is not compatible with the end of the cable. The cable has about a 1/2 inch connector at the end and fits a small round slip fit. The plastic receiver simply doesn't accept this cable end and the it can't be replaced with the old one. I solved it with a bodge gob but it isn't a very elegant solution. When buying one of these try to see a picture that shows the linkage that might minimize the problem.
