Good look at tapestry from a variety of perspectives. Some articles have been printed elsewhere I believe. Still worth enjoying though.

This book is a excellent resource on Tapestry, its history, and current artists and trends. It contains 2 essays on tapestry, profiles several current tapestry artists, and show cases tapestries from each of the artists, and full color. It also profiles the Australian Tapestry Workshop, the West Dean Tapestry Studio, and the Dovecot Studios.This is not a technique book, but it goes beyond technique to show contemporary tapestry artists and trends.

I was very pleased with this. It is a birthday present for a friend. If she already has it - I will get to keep it!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - I have read it front to back and learned a great deal more about design and quality of weaving, I strongly recommend reading this book if you are interested in Contemporary Tapestry Weaving. I look forward to the sequal.

My wife has always been interested in tapestry so I thought this would be very well received and it was!
