At first, I hesitated a little because of its price but I'm quite surprised. It's sounds quite lovely and the material looks durable and expensive. It will sound squeaky if you do not play it right. It takes A LOT OF AIR to make the right sound and tune so don't assume that because it's cheap, it's poorly made. I personally think it's not bad for a beginner hulusi player. As a flute player for 7+ years, you can take my words :) it's good for its price. AND I USUALLY DON'T GIVE OUT GOOD REVIEWS TOO lol

The case and the Hulsui are beautiful. When I first started playing, It only made one tone. At first, I was disappointed, then I called the tech department and she was very helpful. she had me look at it and move the 3 flute pipes. After I did that, I started to produce different tones! It was such a relief. You have to breathe a certain way to get a good tone and change the registers, but this is fun learning how to use it. This Hulsui is in a key of C, which I am happy about. For a beginner, this is a good choice. If I find I really like playing it, I will invest in a higher priced one. It almost has a rich tone and is very pleasing when I play different notes. I am satisfied with it.

I bought this thing for a friend who plays South American flutes. He was delighted with this item. The video is him getting to know the instrument. I'm sure I'll be hearing it again at a future jam. It isn't the easiest instrument to play because it requires you have to carefully control how hard you blow. Also, the finger holes are close together. But it can be played and it is in tune. The case is very light and will protect the instrument. The red tassel is going to become a cat toy.

My daughter is learning Hulusi this semester, she broker hers by accident and I had to find a replacement rather quickly. I got this within a few days after ordering, it arrived beautifully, the whole it made of plastic, not from gourd like you'd imagined, but it sounded nice. After using it for a few weeks, no complaint.

The sounds come off different like something is jammed I can barely play any tunes . My gut feeling was definitely telling me to get the Bamboo one but I didn't because this was cheaper, the case to the Hulusi is very Beautiful but its just sitting in my room like decoration at this point , wasted money .

I ordered the first one and it wouldonly play 2 notes. So, I returned it and had them send me a replacement. The second one had some kind of reed issue. It sounded raspy and some notes wouldn’t play at all. It is very pretty and has a nice case, but it doesn’t play. Not a good item at all.

just wow, this is such a beautiful, interesting instrument. for the price i'm extremely surprised, plays very well and has an incredibly full tone. definitely worth the price, i may buy another one!
