Club Armor Pop-Up and Sky Mark Protection - Fairway Wood/Hybrid (2 Pack, Gloss or Matte)

This product works much better than it's competitor (Clear Shield). I tried that one first and it simply peeled off, especially when removing head covers. I've used this, as well as the driver version and have been satisfied. I will caution that when you install you need to make sure that all bubbles are removed while still wet. I ended up wasting one on my 3-wood because after complete a bubble on the crown edge would only temporarily stay down. It ended up getting some dirt/grass in it and no longer sticked. I bought another version and installed it and it looks great now. Also, they are a bit long for hybrids so make sure to measure and cut first. True story: I was playing with a guy about a month ago who had bought a brand new Taylormade M2 driver. Needless to say, he hit a ball right off the top of the face and left a nice permanent mark on the crown edge of the club. I showed him where I'd installed these on my R15 driver, 3-wood, and hybrid, and he said he was definitely going to Amazon to look. If you don't keep your clubs long, or don't care about aesthetics, then this is a waste of money. I get confidence at address when looking down at clean, undamaged clubs. This was a worthwhile purchase.

I buy them for all of my woods. I am one who likes to keep my clubs in near perfect condition. My swing flaws, however, try to prevent that and all it takes is one bad swing and the head is scratched or worse... chipped.With these, I've had 8 or 9 clubs protected and they have yet to become damaged. Application is super simple and I've only had one club where the film started peeling up after a high face shot (not a complete pop up) with my fairway wood. It didn't scratch the club and I replaced it being more careful not to overlap the face of the club and only get the paint covered.

I loved this product. I placed one of these protectors on all of my hybrids, woods and driver. It's perfect for the amateur golfer that may take a bad swing every now and then. None of us want a pop up mark on the top of the club or even worse, scratches on the club face from hitting the ground first and getting the dirt trapped in between the ball and the club face. These protectors also help with the resale value of the clubs since most people wont buy clubs with nasty scratches on the head or club face.

There is nothing to dislike for a product that protects your equipment in spite of yourselp.We all make the occasional errors and no good golfer wants to see mistake marks on the crown of his clubs.Thank you for such a fine product, it defeats its competion hands down

I can't say if this will hold up or how long it will last, but it was very easy to install and nearly invisible.I got the matte finish and put it on a Ping G25.It seem way to big when I first started to put it on and the edges would not stay down but after using the plastic squeegee and some rubbing with my fingers all the bubbles came out and it wrapped around the edges of the toe of the crown and is almost invisible.It looks so great I ordered some for my driver. I really don't worry to much about sky marks on my driver but I figured I would give it a try.My Armor kit does not look like the picture! Mine came with a gel spray and my protector did not have 2 tabs to remove.

Purchased the Club Armor Gloss protection for my new set of fairway woods. After watching the recommended installation video at their website, I was able to install these fairly easily. If you get a corner that won't stay down, just keep smoothing it down with your fingers until it finally sticks. The installation on each fairway wood took about 3 minutes. Played one round already with no issues whatsoever. I should have bought these sooner.

Takes a little practice to apply without bubbles. Found out that the product will stretch somewhat to allow for a smoother appearance. Must be careful not to pull/stretch too hard as the tabs will disengage from the protective tape. This is the main reason for my 4 star rating. Working from the center and continually adjusting the tape as you go, seems to promote a pretty smooth covering of the club. The matte covering is almost invisible and I find it preferable to the gloss. This review also covers my purchase of the same product for driver club as well. Now that I have had some practice with the product, I would purchase again. Cannot discuss the durability as I have not been able to use my new clubs as yet.

I just bought brand new clubs and as a ‘digger’ I have a tendency to leave idiot marks on the tops of my clubs. I applied these to driver, 3-wood, and hybrid and after three rounds they are already peeling off and dirt and grass is getting underneath.
