The item came in the allotted time and was well packaged.Some of the packaging material was difficult to remove so care must be taken as to not damage the Perspex frame.Initial thoughts on viewing the item were mixed. The built in control unit on the light looked a bit flimsy and the connecting wires were only lightly soldered and could easily be damaged, so handle this item with care. The fixing screws had come loose from their packaging in the box whilst in transit and could have easily scratched and damaged the surface of the light. Luckily for me this was not the case.I installed this on my own, but due to the size of this light fitting, it would be far easier if 2 people were doing the fitting. In fact the fitting for such an awkward sized light should have been a pushfitting for the wiring, so you will have to do a little wiring work, ordinarily that wouldn’t be an issue, but as I said before it’s far easier if 2 people fit this light, because of the weakness in the soldering, if you leave the light unsupported, whilst installing, it would undoubtedly rip from its housing.After installation and switching on the appliance, the light performed perfectly and I was impressed with the array of different colour and shades of ambiance you can achieve using this light and I have to say overall it’s very impressive once fitted.This item is Perspex I saw a similar review on another item complaining about this, but don’t let that put you off, because you wouldn’t want it to be made of glass as that would be ridiculously heavy and would be very difficult to install.Overall I am very impressed with this item and its eye catching,looks fantastic and if it gives as many years service as predicted it’s money well spent. Because if you are shopping around in the UK for light fittings to get anything different ir unique it will set you back a lot of money.For the purpose this light was bought for, which was to enhance a home cinema room with a projector, its absolutely perfect, as it fits very flush to the ceiling and the light temperature can be easily controlled and switched off.Considering this item has come all the way from China to the U.K. and I wasn’t sure what to expect, I am satisfied with this purchase, although some improvements can be made to its manufacturing. Overall I am giving it 3-4 star rating.
