Reader's Digest Popular Songs That Will Live Forever

Well made, actually very sturdy and will stand up for a long time. Never knew Readers Digest had music books. This was one of four.

Quite simply all the Readers Digest published volumes of piano music are terrific in every way. Easy enough for just about any player, but also satisfying arrangements that really hit the important chords, notes, and signature elements of a great song. Ingenious work, these books. Your only regret will be having waited so long to add these to your library. If you're a professional who needs a lot of repertoire and need to be able to sight read, these are essential tools of the trade. You'll probably have to augment the arrangements on the fly if you're truly a professional entertaining in a bar or reception,, but for the average home-parlor player, these books are essential for hours of great moments at the piano.

This used book was in excellent condition with no markings or even minimal damage. It exceeded my expectations. It offers a wide range of songs that can be played on saxophone, the main reason for buying it. The variety of scores makes saxophone practice more interesting for a beginner than the usual options available. It provides ample opportunities to play the lower register notes and to improvise when the notes are too low for the sax. Middle and upper range notes are plentiful too.

Many of these "Popular Songs that will live forever" haven't reached my "Popular Songs" level - but the ones that I DO KNOW I am very grateful that I now have the music and guitar chord diagrams to "keep them alive" in my "Treasured Songs" memory. This is a good addition to my music library.

Nothing to dislike…everything to like!!

This is a Reader's Digest songbook for piano and/ guitar. It has the chords above each change. You can't go wrong with any Reader's Digest books. I love them all. They are not so easy that a beginner can play easily (unless just chording), but not so hard that I can't play- as an intermediate- and make them sound really good with the aid of chords, along with the notes. Easy keys.

I bought five Reader's Digest songbooks, one was to replace one I had previously gotten years ago. A puppy had since destroyed the cover and it didn't stand well on the shelf. I decided to replace and donate the old one to be kept in the piano bench at the local lodge for anyone who needed some quick music. All of the books came from different sellers and were all came in great condition. They are really handy for easily recognizable tunes for when I play for different fraternal organization. Great finds.

We have enjoyed many of the Reader's Digest Songbooks, but just found out we didn't have this one....after finding it in a library. Arrangements are nicely done with some good chord choices and are fairly easy to play, but can still be a challenge. Product came as advertised in great condition...packed very securely. Obviously we would recommend both the book and the vendor if it is an item you are looking for to add to your piano music collection.
