I got these for my girls and they are so sweet! My daughters saw some mermaid tails at Justice that they liked but they were $39 each! So once again I went to Amazon to help out and I love these more!! Classic looking and well made for $10! I washed and dried mine and there was no noticeable shrinkage. Only one of mine had the chemical smell but since I washed them I didn't care. Also they came with a perfect gift bag. And if they get ruined after lots of wear I won't mind because of the price, I'll just order more. I will be getting these as gifts AND am trying to decide if I need one for myself😆. Also, got the kid size and it was perfect for my 9, 7, and 4 year old....with room to grow.

I got this as a gift for my niece's 7th birthday. It arrived quickly (even with the free shipping option), in shrink wrapped packaging, with a nice little gift bag. It's very soft and cozy, and held up just fine when I washed it on the gentle cycle. It did smell a bit chemical-y, but after a wash and lying flat to dry it's fresh as a daisy. I got the kids size. I'm about 5'6, 140lb and I slipped right into it, as you can see. So it will be nice and roomy for my niece, with plenty of room to grow. All in all, a great purchase :)

Order for my 9 year old sister and she loves its, big opening in the back and a hole at the tail but it’s not big enough to put both feet in if you wanna walk around . but she likes it

I read most of the reviews before I made my purchase for my daughters who are 10 and 7. I was super disappointed when I received them in a vacuum packed bags without the “gift bag” everyone talked about and even more disappointed when I opened them and realized they were TINY! My girls would not be able to fit in it if they were half of their current size. I am 5’5”, 125 pounds and attempted to put it in and it didn’t even go to my thighs and the slit in the back exposed my whole backside which is terrible if you actually want their bodies covered... I’m not sure that I even received the correct item. SUPER DISAPPOINTED!!!

We love this mermaid blanket very much! It is a beautiful color, just like the picture, and it is so soft and comfy. We bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday, she has been so in love with mermaids and magical creatures. It is super light weight so she doesn't get overly warm in it, perfect for spring, fall, or cool summer nights. Unfortunately she recieved 2 other mermaid tail blankets from other family members that are sparkly or super fuzzy so this blanket does not get as much use as we hoped, but she still loves it and its great when the other ones are too warm for the warmer weather. We are still very happy with our purchase of this tail, and my daughter even over a year later still loves using it and is large enough to grow with her for a very long time, I bet it would even work as a lap blanket for me if I wanted to try to use it. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a soft and lightweight mermaid tail blanket for their kid!

This was the perfect gift for my 5 year old! By that I mean, it is still a bit too big for her, so she has several years to pretend like a mermaid! The material is a soft yarn that seems to be well crafted, and should hold up to play. I specifically like the thickness of the blanket/throw. It is not overly thick, so it doesn't weigh my daughter down, but it's enough to keep the chill away. I would recommend this to any person who wants to feel aquatically fabulous!
