Good silverware kit
I don't camp...but I work with a lot of people that can't be trusted to wash utensils, so that's fairly similar. My solution was to grab a few sets of these so I never have to worry about not being able to eat my lunch. These will fit in your lunch bag, pocket or wherever and are dishwasher safe. A reasonable investment for a mundane problem.

Real nesting silverware - no plastic!
My adult son was looking for a compact silverware set for his lunchbox. He had a set years ago, but it got lost during a move. This set works perfectly for him. A nice addition is the can and bottle opener that all the pieces slide into. I would not hesitate to buy these again.

Thin Metal and No Tension but Works fine within limits
A decent set if you have nothing else, but the steel is rather thin which is only an issue for the knife as it is kind of uncomfortable to use. I feel like you are about as likely to cut yourself as you are your food, but the biggest downside too this set is that it rattles A LOT. There is no tension the cutlery just sits in can opener, it will not hold together as a single piece. With all that being said though, I don't need much from it so I am decently satisfied, the steel is nicely polished and cleans very easily, with no signs of rust upon delivery or after light use for a couple of months. I will leave it at dorm when I am done here for the next rotation, it is not worth the weight and space in my bags to take home.

Good alternative to actual military kits
I wanted a military mess kit style set that included a fork knife spoon and can opener. These are a little loose but overall good for the price.

Ideal utensils for lunch box or car camping
This picnic flatware set is ideal to pack in your lunchbox, keep a set in your glovebox or in your backpack for camping. Likes: solid, hefty knife, fork and spoon. Easy to wash & clean. Large spoon, knife cuts ok, and fork is very sturdy. Dislike: the utensils are suppose to nest together and slide into a metal sheath. They do, but they don’t stay together; they easily come apart. Only way to keep them together is to use a rubber band to tie them together, or place them in a small, slim pouch. (Or wrap in a small towel, or bandana.) This set isn’t for long, backpacking trips; if you’re worried about weight, DO NOT get this set. Too heavy. But ideal for car camping.

A Practical Alternative to HUngarian Military Utencile Set
The build quality is okay for the price of $5/set. I can take this anywhere and not worry, if I lost a piece. The spoon, fork, and knife all fit securely inside the can opener, when stowed. It is made of rather thin sheet metal stampout, yet it has its advantage in the lighter weight. The knife may have angular edge which some may find rather sharp to handle, but it should serve anyone without causing trouble. There is always fine-grit sandpaper that will take the edge off with a few passes. The design of the set is the copy of the Hungarian set, so the user interphase is the same. For camping or backpacking, this is a very good set for the money. If you just want something for the practical value, do not pass this up.

Perfect Travel Flatware
I ordered two sets of these flatware for the long trips in the jeep. They are compact, sturdy, well made, and perfect for road trips, camping, and picnics. Each set is cleverly designed to slide into a stainless hold that doubles as can opener and bottle opener. Perfect. Just perfect. Nicely packaged and very quickly shipped.

Decent but loose in the sleeve
These work as campware but it would be better if they clicked into the can opener sleeve in some way - hard for kids to keep track of when they slide out so easily.

Looser than thought.
OK, looser than I thought they would fit together. Problem solved by turning bottle cap opener part in opposite direction when I replacing utensils.
