SUPER NO,BUT QUITE GOOD.
Granted this was not a proper event, but a show calling itself super showdown would need to deliver, right? Well it does so only in places.THE BAR vs THE USOs is a title match that does what is has to but only just. It is ver good in places but all in all left me expecting morr.BECKY LYNCH vs CHARLOTTE is a fine title match that may not be anything special but it at least has something to get into. A good feud but the wrong roles for each wrestler.JOHN CENA teams with BOBBY LASHLEY (why?) to take on ELIAS and KEVIN OWENS (again, why?). I won't say it is a good match and CENA looks a bit silly with his new hair style but is passes the time. Oh and Cena has a new move...oh dear.NAOMI teams with ASUKA to take on THE ICONICS. Now to be fair the aussie iconis are very good at what they do and it was good to see them look strong in an otherwise throwaway match.A.J. STYLES vs SAMOA JOE in another good match between the 2 with no holds barred, one of the best matches of the night, but not really a must see.RONDA ROUSEY teams with THE BELLAS to take on THE RIOT SQUAD and there are some very good moments but really nothing to get excited over.ALEXANDRA CEDRIC has a minor title fight against BUDDY MURPHY in what has one of the major reactions, could have been longer but it was a very solid match, impressive.THE SHIELD take on BRAUN STOWMAN with DOLPH ZIGGLER and DREW McINTYRE. A very good match with some great spots but again not what it could have been.DANIEL BRYAN in a much anticipated match with MIZ to see if he can get some kind of revenge for the last 2 matches, could've been great but erm...don't blink. The main event sees UNDERTAKER having his supposedly last match with TRIPLE H,KANE in the deadman's corner and SHAWN MICHAELS in the game's. It's a very good showing and at times lives up to the hype, but both men are clearly passed their best and the corner men are also very longterm members of the wwe, Very good then, but clearly just a way to set up another match for the 4 men. The post match spells it out.So a good show, very good at times, but a super showdown? I wouldn't say so,

Super Show-Down
This DVD contains the full 2018 Super Show-Down event spread over two discs. It's the event coming from Australia, before this became one of the awful Saudi Arabia events. The bonus features are mainly promos from RAW and Smackdown building to the main event of Triple H vs. The Undertaker. The New Day vs. The Bar - The first match of the night was for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. It was a good back and forth opener. These two teams always deliver good matches and while this wasn't as good as some of the matches they've had together it was still entertaining. It had some good counters and double team moments with a few last second saves. It had a decent amount of time and built to a clean and decisive finish. It wasn't their strongest effort but it's still enjoyable.Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair - This was for Becky's Smackdown Women's Championship. It's my favourite match of the night. They have a really good back and forth fight with some good psychology as Becky targets Charlotte's arm and Charlotte targets the leg of Becky to set up for their respective submission holds. There was plenty of counters and near-falls as the match went on and the action was constantly entertaining. The finish didn't give us a decisive winner and that was a shame but everything leading up to that was great. It would have been even better with a stronger finish and maybe some more time but as it was it was still a really good match.John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Elias and Kevin Owens - This match existed and it was fine. It felt like a house show match or an unimportant RAW match. It wasn't too long which was good and it wasn't a bad match, it just wasn't particularly interesting either. It had a clean and decisive finish and the action was fine. It's a perfectly watchable match but you wouldn't be missing out on anything if you skipped it.Asuka and Naomi vs. The IIconics - This was a fun match. The IIconics were entertaining, as they always are, and Naomi and Asuka made a pretty fun tag team. The match didn't last too long but it was very enjoyable while it lasted. The action was fast paced and it built to a strong and decisive finish. I'd have loved for it to have been longer but it was still an entertaining match that I'm glad they did on the show.AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe - This was a No Disqualification match for AJ Styles' WWE Championship. It was a fantastic match. For most of the action it was just a regular match between these two, which isn't a complaint as they're great together. Then towards the end they brought in a few weapons but never over-did them. There were some good near-falls and drama coming from their signature submission holds. There were lots of counters and it built to a clean and satisfying finish. There was some good psychology with Samoa Joe's knee and all the action was entertaining. A really exciting match from start to finish. The Riott Squad vs. Ronda Rousey and the Bella Twins - This was another good match. The Riott Squad worked well to cut off the Bella Twins and stopping them from getting Ronda in the match. It lasted a good amount of time and all the action was entertaining. It wasn't a very long match but it wasn't too short either. It felt just right for the match they were having. It had a good and creative finish and was a fun match overall.Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy - This was for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. It was a great back and forth match. It was full of impressive moves and counters. The action was fast paced from start to finish and there were some great exchanges of strikes and moves. They had some convincing near-falls as they built towards a strong and decisive finish. they had a good amount of time to work with but the time just flew by with how entertaining the action was. Great stuff. The Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre - This was another great match. It started with Strowman's team using The Shield's tactic against them, using their numbers to isolate Seth and to keep taking out Roman and Dean. That was all enjoyable and then the match broke down and became even more exciting with fast paced and entertaining action that the Shield always deliver. There was a story teased a bit during the match that Ambrose might not be fully on board with the rest of the Shield which made things interesting too. Both teams did some great work and there were some good near-falls on the way to a strong and decisive finish. This match was a lot of fun.Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz - The winner of this match would receive a WWE Championship match at a later date. It did it's job but it was a disappointment. It lasted less than three minutes and that was a shame because they had a fantastic match at Summerslam and I was looking forward to seeing it again. The action was all good while it lasted but the very short run-time made this a disappointment as the match I was most looking forward to.Triple H vs. The Undertaker - This was the main event of the night and was a 'Last Time Ever' No Disqualification match. Shawn Michaels and Kane were at ringside for Triple H and Undertaker respectively, which would lead to a pretty awful match between the two teams that Shawn came out of retirement for. Anyway this match was much better than that one. I was worried going in that Undertaker wouldn't be up to it anymore. While he was clearly no longer in his prime he did a good job and they had an entertaining fight. Michaels and Kane played a small role in the match but they mostly just let Triple H and Undertaker fight it out. It had a brawl through the crowd, a few weapons and a ref bump to help keep it interesting. There were some good near-falls and I enjoyed the finish. A much better match than I expected. It wasn't amazing but it was a good, enjoyable match. This was a pretty great event. I went in expecting a glorified house show but the action we got was very good. Becky/Charlotte, Buddy/ Cedric, AJ/Joe and The Shield all delivered great, entertaining matches worth going out of your way to see. The main event was much better than expected and several other matches on the card delivered enjoyable, fun matches. It was a show that exceeded expectations and is worth picking up.

It's like WrestleMania Down Under! I love it!
It was the first time a WWE Pay-Per-View was broadcast from Australia and the WWE was advertising the Undertaker vs. Triple H: Last Time Ever throughout the summer of 2018. I was so thrill to see two WWE giants go at it one more time. It opens with The New Day (I love those guys) defends the Smackdown Tag Team Championship against The Bar. Then my dream girl Charlotte Flair goes up against the heel Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Of course, Charlotte won the match by disqualification after Becky got herself disqualified. Then WWE hero John Cena returns to teams up with Bobby Lashley against two idiots: Elias & Kevin Owens and Cena even debut his new finishing move: Six Moves of Doom. After the match, Cena thanks the WWE Universe in Australia. Then the Ilconics defeated two of the all-time greats: Asuka & Naomi in a tag-team match. Then WWE Champion AJ Styles battles his archrival Samoa Joe (who continues taunts AJ Styles's family) in a No Disqualification, No Countout, There Must Be a Winner Match for the WWE Championship. Then the Bella Twins (Brie & my other dream girl Nikki) teams with RAW Women's Champion & UFC hottie Ronda Rousey against the Riot Squad. Then Cedric Alexander defends the Cruiserweight Championship against Buddy Murphy. Then the Shield reunites against Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre & Braun Strowman. Then Daniel Bryan FINALLY defeated The Miz (God I hate him) and become the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship. And finally, the main event between the Undertaker & Triple H was an EPIC match. It was funny when Kane & Shawn Michaels try to interfere in the match. In the end, Triple H (who have been an villain since 2013) turns face when he helps the Undertaker up on his feet and all four men shows the mutual respect that makes me a fan of WWE at the age of 14. Then, the Undertaker & Kane attacks both Triple H & Shawn Michaels.I have to say this was the best pay-per-view of 2018 and I was disappointed that none of these matches wasn't on "The Best Pay-Per-View Matches of 2018". Either way, the Last Time Ever match didn't disappoint not one bit.

This WWE event took place in the Land Down Under in Australia. The Taker/H match was the best one on the card. You can't beat the quality of the other matches.
