A great product, totally fog free.
After five years of daily use I just recently replaced this mirror with a new one. The old one broke off at the base. But after five years of use, I thought that I had got my moneys worth. It's easy to install, just unscrew your shower head and put the mirror attachment onto the pipe, then put the shower head back on. The head will now be about two inches lower then it was before. As a nice added touch, plumbers tape, to put on the threads, is included. It does what it says it will; it is totally fog proof. Yes, as some of the other reviewers say, it is cheap. Hey, it's only $20 bucks, but it works. It has been an indispensable part of my morning routine, as there is no sink in my bathroom. I have to shave in the shower. It's true that the mirror is heavy and will sag, but in my case, it sits well above me and it's not a problem, plus, if you twist the arm, bending it into an S shape,it will tighten up and stay in place. There was a comment that the water that goes through the mirror is wasted water. In some respects that is true, and being as I am from California that is something to consider. Looking at how it works, the water that goes through the mirror is being taken from the water stream that would have gone on you, so at the end of the shower, you are using no more water than you would have without the mirror in place. One added note about saving water; the mirror attachment allows you to cut the main shower head flow in half. So when I shave or soap up, I turn that little lever, and I am using much less water than before, and it's much easier then shutting off and all the water. All in all, doing it this way you save water.

Updated Review: Going on 2 years now
I leave the knobs open all the time on the mirror for two reasons 1) the amount of water running through the mirror is negligible and I barely noticed a difference in water pressure from the head and 2) they don't seem to be made that well and would likely wear out after too long.Mirror is fog free no matter how hot the water is.UPDATE: This thing is great. I've had it for 2+ years now and love it. The knobs still work well (an early concern) and I've had no problems with it at all. I'm not sure how you can even sell one that doesn't work this way because they DON'T WORK. The mirror has to be hot otherwise it will fog.I would have paid double the amount now that I know it works this well.Cheers

Too short, valves are tricky
While the basic premise of this product is flawless, that is the warm water running down the back of the mirror does indeed keep it fog free, the goose neck from the diverter to the mirror is far too short.I am an average height man (5' 10") and it is very difficult for me to get the mirror into a position that I can really use because the goose neck is just so short. I've checked and double checked that our shower head is installed at a typical height and the mirror is still too high to be useful. Also I have experienced the issue with the valves comming undone when you attempt to operate them, that is the valve to divert water to the mirror comes completely out of its seat if you twist just a little too far. Nothing starts the morning off right like a jet of hot water hitting the bathroom ceiling.

Saving Money.. plus, does what it says it does...
Read an article about saving money... said a sure saver is to become a head shaver... (your results may vary, looks ok on some, not others) one of the must have items is a shower mirror... shocked to see some selling for over a hundred, as this was an experiment, wanted one reasonable, but one that did the job... this mirror fit the bill and works very well, I may never up-grade... re: the head, wife hates it, and it turned out to be very high maintenance plus the first few times are very hard to do... still in stage-one, still experimenting... but the mirror will stay, still have to shave the face...

works as advertised but leaks like no other
I think 3 stars are generous. simple to install and does what its suppose to do as "fog proof". Cheap plastic must use extra care installing or it'll crack easily. Where I installed the razor hanger in the back "drain hole" sucker leaks like a fire hose. knowing the price I did expect to have some problems so we'll see how long it lasts

Great idea but doesn't work.
Don't buy this. The plastic feels very cheep, it doesn't hold in a usable position, leaks water where it connects to the shower head in just one week of use, and the mirror is so small I can't even see my face. To top it off, it's not fog proof and water droplets cover the mirror so much so that you won't be able to see anything. Water droplets collect on the mirror more so than others because it's located directly under the shower head. I tried spaying Rain•X on the mirror and it helped but ultimately i will be spending more time and money finding a functional shave mirror.

Great solution, but the ShowerTek CXL is so much better -- spend the extra money and get the CXL!
I loved this mirror when I used it. It truly does stay fog free, but I found two problems with it:(1) the system where the water drips behind the mirror can sometimes drip around the front of the mirror too because it's not a sealed system. This isn't a problem unless you have harder water like I do. Eventually, I had hard water spots all over it. When I tried to clean it, I scratched the mirror surface (it's plastic).(2) the plastic valve and/or housing on this mirror eventually breaks. When it does, you're left with either getting another one of these or doing what I eventually did and ponying up a little extra cash to get the metal/glass model by ShowerTek.It's a little more money up front, but the CXL metal/glass model is a much, much better product that not only functions better, but also is built better and will last much longer.
