PH Meter(ATC), Digital PH Meter / 0.01 PH high Precision Water Quality Tester/PH Tester,0-14 pH Measurement Range for Household Drinking Water,Swimming Pools, Hydroponics, School Education etc（Red）

I bought this for 2 purposes; I have a fish tank for which I want to monitor water parameters (pH 7-8), and I make fermented food which becomes acidic (pH 3-4) when ready.The meter is very easy to use - just switch on and plunge into the liquid, taking a bit of care not to go too deep (though there is a huge margin of safety). The readout is very clear....but, what is the actual value? I find that the reading fluctuates wildly to begin with, then seems to settle...but keeps moving slowly in one direction or another. If you swirl the probe in the liquid, you get a 'jump' in the reading, then it continues the slow drift. Dont know if this is internal heating or actual metrology drift or what. I tried calibrating, using the supplied sachets and some distilled water; but with the inherent slow drift of reading, it wasnt really any use. So, the probe gives me an idea of roughly what the pH is, which is what I already had with my colour changing strips. But I suppose the benefit of the probe is that I can use it as often as I like.Not great, I definitely expected better, but not a complete failure.

I purchased this for two A-Level Geography students to use on their non-examined assessment fieldwork. They had no access to laboratory facilities and needed something that would give a good general comparison of pH readings along a seven mile stretch of river. I decided against spending more than I had to and spend a day or two wondering if I had made a false economy.As it turned out, I hadn't. Sure, the plastic coating of the unit feels flimsy, but then it would be daft to expect anything else for the price. Using the buffering fluids to calibrate the meter was simple. On use it performed well, giving a stable reading within seconds. If you are looking for a reliable starter piece of kit, you could do much worse than this.

A few issues with this product that made me just chuck it in the bin.1. the ph results are way out. Even when calibrated, it loses it even on the first go after2. when using it, even when it does work, its at least 0.5 - 2 points out compared to using a highly accurate ph meter3. batteries lasted less than a few usesI only got this as a back up as my probe on my trident needed replacing so got this to tide me over.Shame it didnt work very well. would have been nice having a spare hand held

Unfortunately didn’t need to use this immediately, so can’t return the product. Where to start.....The on/off switch doesn’t really work, with the machine turning off and on at will.When testing ph it was astonishingly wrong, with the sensitivity adjustment not working....It’s gone in the bin. Don’t waste your money. I had to give it 1 star as a minimum for this review, and I can’t even contact the seller and I complain.

I've been using this principally to test the pH of some apple vinegar I've made. It claims to have an accuracy to two decimal points. Well, it certainly displays to two decimal points but I would not say that it has that accuracy. Measuring the same liquid at the same temperature on several occasions gives quite different readings.My verdict is that it gives a rough estimate of the pH, no more, but I'm not complaining because it is so cheap.

Item was clearly old or had been stored inappropriately. When trying to turn it on immediately after delivery, it did not work. Investigations found that the battery terminals (and batteries) were corroded - rust visible. After cleaning them up, it appeared to work - ie the display worked. When trying to calibrate it prior to first use in accordance with the instructions, it was found that the glass bulb was broken and it would not calibrate. Returning for refund.

Not tested yet hence 3 rating. Looks the part, in a sturdy box with screwdriver & calibration solution. Usual Chinese translation issues with instructions but easy but easy enough to follow. Eg "First clean the electrode witb distilled water and suck it with filter paper" maybe that's what you really are meant to do but I think one word needs reworded!

Arrived quickly, worked straight away and was accurate for about a few weeks. This is when things went wrong. I couldn't get an accurate result so I bought a new meter. Eventually a few weeks later while checking if it had started working properly again I noticed the sensor was cracked. I'm not sure how this happened. I've had another meter that cost me £4 more and that meter treated exactly the same still works perfectly. This is a good unit if your not using it it all the timemails.
