This has always been one of my favorite albums, so when I started my vinyl collection I wanted to get this album to really see if there is a difference. I have listened to this album on a digital format so many times that I felt like I would be able to detect any difference no matter how small. Indeed, the mid-range guitars sound somehow deeper and for Metallica, almost angrier. I have not yet noticed much of a difference in some of the higher ranged solos, but I'll keep listening.

The scammer who sold me the album has already used the digital download code. So while the vinyl album is very good, without the download privileges it's incomplete.

The best Bay Area trash hands down. This album sears your face off with riffs that will be burnt into your brain. It's all in all a killer album.

Compressed Sound - Avoid.
Great album - awful compressed version. Avoid, you will keep turning the volume up and it will not sound good - dreadful treatment of an awesome L.P. go vinyl, but not this version - I sold me copy.

Fantastic, crisp and clear quality, if slightly quiet for a Metallica album (though I'm fairly certain this is down to my set-up, not the album).Contains the 12" LP in a paper sleeve, with a lyrics sheet.

Hola. Nunca tuve este disco ni en cassette, vinilo ni cd. Escuchaba en una cinta grabada. Esperar que suene esta grabación como una producción potente no tiene sentido. Esta reedicion a mi,me gusta, sencilla, con inserto con letras y fotos. Tienes que subir un pelo el volumen pero te encuentras lo que todos conocemos de los primeros pasos del grupo. Y por el precio que lo compre yo.....
