The edge (lip) on the base chips easily
We like this butter dishDesign: GoodSize: Good - holds two standard cubes of butter. The cover is tall enough that it does not touch the butter.It's weighty enough to stay in place during use. The cover is easily removed and replaced without interference from the base.Problem: the edge or lip around the base has developed several chips in the glaze. This is not, I'm 99% certain, due to use i.e. bumping or striking it with some object. We hand wash it. I suspect that there are bubbles in the ceramic or glazing just under the surface of the lip. Although he ceramic material is white, the chips are quite noticeable.It is possible this is a qc problem not affecting other items in this line.

It's a butterdish
It serves it's purpose and nice to keep out on counter, but feels lightweight. Be careful with butterfingers!

It is pretty and functional
Like this butter dish because it’s pretty, can accommodate two sticks of butter and it matches my coffee filters storage container.

nice dish
This is a really nice butter dish. It holds a Kerigold butter square perfectly. Not sure how it will hold up. There is nothing on the bottom that says dishwasher safe. I did notice a bible verse on the bottom. I'm not too fond of items where the manufacturer has to force their religious beliefs and you don't know until you already made the purchase.

It is beautiful!
This is a beautiful butter dish! I was looking for something simple and red to match my kitchen which is what I got. The glass is thick, and it's easy to clean so I think it's well worth my money.UPDATE: This butter dish chips VERY easily. I have had it for a few months and I learned very quickly not to slice the butter on the dish because it will chip and it will stand it. Other than being fragile this a great butter dish!

Larger than expected
The top has the button knob so it must be set on counter (or table) upright while accessing the butter. If there’s any butter on the edges of the top then it makes a mess on counter. Otherwise it’s good quality Holds 2 long sticks of butter.

Pretty, but larger than expected
So. I like the dish. It's pretty but not stuffy looking. I was super excited to receive it. But. When I looked at the description I couldn't find information on sizing. I went off of a review that said it easily fit a normal stick of butter. Sure, it does. But it also fits a half pound block of butter. It's huge and will not fit in my fridge, so I will have to use it exclusively on the table when we have company.

Chips very easily!!
Very cute butter dish...but I have had it about 2 months and it has chips all along the sides. It's just myself and my husband so we are not rough with it.Very disappointed with the quality!!!
