Well made and fairly accurate
I tried this with my digital thermometer and it seems fairly accurate with that. I like the ease of use and the clip works well on a Stainless steel bell shaped milk jug (heated on a gas hob). The Froth margin on the gauge is well marked. As it is stainless steel It will obviously get quite hot - so care/cloth needed when removing, (clip makes it a firm fit so you need a firm grip too). Really like this compared to my old (melted) digital one and hope this will last the test of time.

Just call me Goldilocks
After becoming massively addicted to coffee and now having to have at least 3 coffees per 17 minute interval, I decided to buy a coffee maker - you can check that review out separately, I'm not going to spoil it - but it's a buzzing read. The only problem with the coffee maker (or is it, you'll have to read the review to find out) is that despite warming your milk up for you, you don't know how hot it is. I tried like a gazillion times and every time it was either too hot or too cold - I could never get it just right! So, I checked with Costa and Starbucks how hot they make their drinks. For reference, apparently Costa's standard is 140f to 160f and if you ask for it extra hot they will do 160f to 180f. Starbucks is 150f to 170f.Liking my coffee hot, I went for 75-80 Celsius (converted into Celsius because that's the right way of measuring temperature), putting it just above the "Froth Zone" on this thermometer. I clipped the thermometer on the side of the jug and began heating... the temperature began to climb...despite the temptation to stop before the froth zone, I carried on, passing the froth zone and heading on to 80, stopping just before...The hot milk was then combined with the espresso and enough Syrup to power a primary school of children through two terms of school ...and boom! Not too hot, not too cold - perfect temperature caffeine and sugar to keep me going while I make the next one...

Works perfectly!
Where I work there is a mini cafe with an espresso machine and an amature barista, but the barista kept over heating the froth which changes the flavour of the milk and was sometimes hotter than the sun - which was not enjoyable! So I bought her this thermometer for her frothing jug - and now she is learning to recognize 60-65 degrees when her hand cups the jug - and a step closer to becoming a skilled barista! This thermometer works perfectly -- for professionals as well as for amatures.

Wanna know how hot your milk is??? Look no further.
Fits my jug perfectly (this thermometer was chosen specifically due to its overall length for this reason), and responds quickly to the milk’s change in temperature. Make sure that you keep the head dry though - I’m not sure that it would survive being immersed in water whilst washing. Overall, very happy with this product.

I have no idea if this is accurate but it seems to work perfectly.Warm up milk to the 'Frothy' area and all is good. Perfect cuppa.Love the sliding hook that allows this to be placed on the side of small and large jugs.
