It's extremely good. I have been using it for my 10 gallons for years and I have never ever had any issues with it. Of course the media will get brown and break and stuff but just get aquarium floss or aquarium sponges or any media and use it instead. You can blindly buy it. It's plastic. Easy to clean. I highly recommend it. No regrets here. The pictures are taken after years of use. And you can see that I have used aquarium floss. You will have to eventually change the power head and the motor but the plastic setup is forever. Thank you.

Value for the money buy they should consider giving a powerful motor for the suction especially for tall tanks

The product doesn't it took me long time to open it , mean while return policy expired, so I had no option my complete waste of money , on the opening second it didn't work , complete waste of money , do not buy at all

Hello all, I purchased this product, it got delivered yesterday. Here is the review of the productPros:1. As always Amazon is super in delivery.2.Product look cool and small3. Doing its job pretty good (based on just 1 day observation)4. Water dispense per minutes is OK.5. Cord is big enough to reach-out the plug pointCons:1. Do not confuse on 4 chamber. Other side of the filter is now shown in the product picture. If you can see you will able to understand that once water get into the container it equally and freely distributed to entire one side of the container, then the same dirty water get filter with 4 activated carbon filters and come to other side. So it is NOT like it will go through first chamber and that filtered water will go to second chamber and so on and from the last chamber it will dispatch the back to container. So this is a single layer filter of activated carbon.2. Connecting tube of pump and container is not so big. For those who does not keep the water level till top may face some issue. as the pump is submerge pump and you need to put the same inside water.Currently I am using the same and will post another review after using 1 month.

The filter is good and going good, only thing worries is that you need to clean the filter in water 2 times in a week to have the good flow of water. the filter is easy to setup. the plants don't have any disturbance as ordinary filters.

The product shape and size are perfect for tight spaces.But there are drawbacks.1. The only filteration is via cartriges which are just cloth sceens with carbon inside them.2. The water moves from back to front which leaves a lot of space wasted inside an already tight filter3. Fitler pump return rate is totally not up to the mark. It just trickles down water and does not provide enough surface agitation.Verdict.If you are buying it as a permanent filter i dont think its worth it.It can be used as an add on.But if you are a DIY person then there are a lot of ways in which you can customize it.I have customized mine to a totally new avtar. And thats why the 2 stars.Hope this review helps.Top tip - although expensive but do check out the aquaclear HOB filters. They are totally worth their cost.

The final product is outstanding. functioning properly as of late.In comparison to similar products, there is very low noice. altogether, a product that is advised.

1. Suction power is average for tall tanks (mine is 18 inches tall). Could be improved.2. The vertical extension pipe was stuck inside the L-shaped pipe making it difficult to identify and take out for proper fitting.3. Cartridge filters were not sealed when delivered. They were out of their plastic pouches and placed inside the filter.Overall, a good hang-on-back filter.
