Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing

I have received the book on 17-12-16 as informed by them.I had a glance look on the pages.The book is very glamorous,rich and costly look.the contest also very clear and in detail In general it is worth for the price.At the same time the book contains only ladies garments.very few pages deals with boys dress.No men dresses shown in the book.in total it is a worth print and content but not fully useful for Indian readers.

A very good book for people who would like to get tips and step by step instructions for stitching a variety of items. I liked it very much though I have not completed reading the whole book. Maybe at a later date, I can give a detailed review.

A classic that has aged gracefully. Truly encyclopedic - if it's not in here, you probably don't need to know it!Of course many of the garment patterns have dated, but as a technical reference it has never been bettered.If you can pick it up at a decent price, it deserves a place on every sewer's bookshelf.

I havent sewn since school and even then only hand sewing - bought myself a machine, the book helped me get to grips with it and for my first sewing machine project I made four basic cushions covers. The write up's are very easy to follow, the diagrams and photo's are great for someone who needs to see what they're being told to do! I enjoy looking through the book and also enjoy using it as a very useful reference tool. I would recommend it to anyone who needs sewing machine guidance with the intention of creating great things, pictures along the way and is hoping to move on to bigger and better things. it's money well spent

This book has so many tips in it. I borrowed it from the library and decided there was so much in it I should just get my own copy. I'm sure I'll be referring to it all the time, even though I won't bother with the pattern projects.

This book was recommended by the teacher on an adult education sewing course I attended. Clear instructions with diagrams for you to follow and contains everything you need to know about sewing and following/altering commercial patterns.

My Mum also decided to take up Sewing, however this is something she HAS done before, however not for MANY years though!So i looked high and low and thought this sounded like the best book, as it covers from beginners right up to the 'already pro's', so i guessed i couldn't go far wrong! LOLAnd sure enough she absolutely adores it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
