Wound Care: A Collaborative Practice Manual for Health Professionals

The media could not be loaded. This book very comprehensively deals with the care of wounds. It is meant for medical professionals who care for wounds. It is 800+ pages and I bought the hard bound version of the book. It includes a total of 30 chapters which deal with scientific assessment of wounds, management of various types of wounds, assessment of causative factors, modern aids to wound healing (USG/NPWT/Hyperbaric therapy/dressing materials, etc). The book is very well illustrated with plenty of color tables, charts and photographs. Lots of references included, along with online resources. Some amount of basic science of wound healing is also included. Index also included. Plenty of illustrated case studies within the chapters.This book is definitely worth a read. Only problem is that it is a 2012 edition and newer edition is not available.

lots of scientific detail and written in way that is logical and easy to understand

I needed a book that would give me more information than I could get during doctor visits or from a pharmacy. The pictures are a bit graphic but if you are determined to understand what is going on with a wound, this is the book for you. It will help you be better at taking care of yourself and at being a care-giver for others.

Very helpful book, arrived in new condition as a rental book from Amazon. Unless you already work in wound care, the amount of pictures on wounds might be hard to stomach. But it definitely helps me in gaining clinical knowledge and get me where i need to go.

Great for PTs - other books seem to focus on the nursing aspect only, but I liked that this included PT specifics as well.
