Pantry Deliverance. Hallelujah!!!!!
Our new, downsized house has a pantry problem. Our pantry is teensy tiny. These have been a godsend. Sturdy, attractive, clear (so I can see contents at a glance), so easy to open and close, and the seal is great. I got enough to fill two of our four drawers, and feel like it immediately doubled my storage space. No more half opened bags of stuff tumbling out (or worse, falling down in to the back of the pantry) or buried underneath something else when I pull a drawer out.The only annoying thing is the lid takes forever to dry if water gets inside the hollow push button area (not great if you're storing flour, sugar, cornmeal, etc), so I usually settle for disassembling the rubber gasket and twisty part, and wiping the button part down with a damp dishcloth rather than immersing it or rinsing under a sink.Typical OXO quality. And that, my friends, is a GOOD thing. OXO makes great products. I always look for their name first when buying kitchen items.

Liked the first one so much that I bought a second one!
Bought 2: one to hold just the chopped lettuces and the second just to hold the remaining chopped ingredients (tomatoes, assorted peppers, mushrooms, carrots, beets, and olives). Had salad daily and both containers' ingredients stayed very fresh for my 5 daily salad meals where I alternated between cut-up salmon or turkey or cooked shrimp (both the lettuces and chopped ingredients probably would have lasted another couple of days, but I finished them before I could know for sure).

Great way to organize your pantry!
I recently got tired of my old dry goods storage containers and discovered the Oxo POP containers. What a difference it has made! My old cylindrical containers worked, but they took up a LOT of my pantry space and I often would snag things on the latches when trying to pull a container out of the pantry. Since switching to the Oxo containers, I have twice as much pantry space and fewer items in ZipLoc and other plastic bags. I find the Oxo POP containers easy to clean and they stack nicely. So far, I am very pleased with the switch. The 1.5 quart size fits my pantry shelf height well as I am still able to easily pull a container out, then replace it when I am done. I'm using this size to store lentils, rolled oats, steel cut oats and wild rice from my health food store.

Best canisters around!
I love these. I bought one big set to start out (which is better value than buying individually), and then supplemented with a few of the shapes and sizes I most often need, like this one. I use it for tea, beans, lentils, dried herbs (like mint for tea or lavender), or anything else that is dry and needs to be kept from humidity.I keep these canisters stacked right out on my counters, displaying their contents proudly. I don't have enough cupboard space to put them away, but they actually look pretty neat right out in the open, especially with pretty multicolored lentils and rice and such inside. It looks like a nice modern display, and people always comment on how much they like my canisters, both for looks and functionality. Highly recommend for all your dry-goods-storing needs!

GREAT MULTI USE PRODUCT:
PROS: These are great... and they come in all sizes... I use them for everything....food, clothing, 4-wheeling goggles, wallet. I would highly recommend these for kitchen, camping, canoeing, picnics.CONS: I have ordered many of these in different sizes... about 2 in 10 that I have received have very little "vacuum" ... I think the lid or rubber sealis bad.

Good model
Well designed, I like it a lot. This one is the « old » series that was manufactured in Germany. Unfortunately, if you shop for those OXO pop containers now, the new models a manufactured in China... Disappointing that OXO took the decision.

Good clean spartan design
Our kitchen units are crammed with cylindrical containers of all sorts of ingredients, and I finally decided to get irked by the waste of space that cylinders represent in the great scheme of things, all that space wasted with a circular cross section that could be taken up with foodstuffs! These have gently rounded corners and slightly tapering sides, but just enough to get a grip on them without wasting precious cubic centimetres. Yes, our old cupboards are not huge, and we really don't like things cluttering the worktops, especially storage things.I thought that the press down button atop each container was to create a slight vacuum effect in the container, but it is actually just to push the black silicone seal on the lid outward to seal the container. It's a neat system, but it remains to be see how this works out for durability (so I've not rated durability yet). The heights of the various containers are well worked out (at least for our cupboards) to fit into typical shelves while leaving a bit of headroom to make things easier to take out. It's worth measuring to see whether your units will work well with them. Having the slight taper top to bottom, and the slightly rounded corners really helps make them easy to pick out from a set, and we've already noticed that we're getting better quantities of stuff like pasta and rice stored. They're a doddle to clean as well. We wash new storage containers by habit, so that was the first thing we noticed. Again the rounded corners meant nothing could hide, and the lid was simple to clean too, although it needs to be separated into two components to wash and dry properly - it does this with a simple twist before separating the two parts. I'm not too keen on things that need a bit of simple disassembly to do something routine like cleaning, especially things that can break fairly easily, so I'm hoping that they shouldn't need regular washing out. With dry foodstuffs this should be the case.It doesn't affect the star rating, but the slick smoothness might make them "interesting" to pick up with wet hands, something we don't do much anyway. If that's a problem then Oxo might need to make silicone grip bands or some handy invention like that, which slides up the taper of the container until it fits tightly - but that's just the inventor in me speaking. They're good out of the box, let's see how they stand up to some torture!
