Stunning just Stunning!!!
Let me start by saying, I loved absolutely everything about this book, it was definitely an “insta-love” for me. And when it came to Landon Christianson, I wanted to hold him and devour him all at the same dang time.We first met Landon in Unbreakable, the cop that let Jessica into his heart. The first one ever, besides his crazy sister Lindsay, he ultimately let’s Jessica go because he knew deep down he couldn’t be that man for her.Fast-forward sometime down the road and we are re-acquainted with his antics kicking a no-named girl out of his bed. He is a self-named a-hole, ladies man, what have you and that is Landon with every female who has a pair of boobs, a butt, and well you get the picture. His relationship with his sister Lindsay is amazing; I loved their love for each other. The way they could just read and finish each other’s sentences and the banter, my god, the banter always had me laughing out loud. He has been her protector since he was 8 and she was 4. I won’t go into too much detail as I don’t want to give out spoilers but their bond is unbreakable.“Aca-Landon, are you up?” “Are you going to aca-everything for the next freaking week, Linds? Because I’m not sure I can handle it.”Cue scene where Mr. Ladies man walks into the bar and runs into Reagan, aka “Doc”. He has his eyes set on her and refuses to take no for an answer. Reagan is a beautiful doctor in this small town who has a love for taking care of people and animals. She is basically the all-American girl. They go out on a few dates and you just know right off the bat that Landon and Reagan both are concealing some pretty deep-rooted issues and secrets. I won’t give out any clues to the what, why and who, but Landon and Reagan are made for each other and when they finally get it right, they get it right. It isn’t a fairy tale in the beginning, Landon and Reagan had a one sided relationship, but Landon was trying his hardest and you could just feel the love he had for her, he just couldn’t express it without the fear. Reagan loved Landon unconditionally, always patient and kind. When he pushed, she pulled and vice versa. They had a beautiful love and when Landon got his head on straight he was the perfect man for her; the love that is between these two, healed all their scars from the past and made a beautiful beginning for these two deserving people. (P.s. the sex between these two is off the freaking charts!!! What I wouldn’t give for the robe tie and handcuffs treatment from Mr. Landon, mm mmm mm). Please go out and one click this baby right now! It is just beautiful! Here are a few of my favorite lines in this book. I cannot wait for the next in this series!“You know we all have secrets, right? We all have scars; some scars can be seen and others cannot. Every scar has a story and every story needs to be told. When you’re ready, I’ll be here to listen to your story.“You may never love me the way I need to be loved-but don’t deny yourself the opportunity. Let me love you. You deserve that.” “Where she is strong, I am weak. Where she has words, I have none. I can see a million thoughts flash through her eyes, but she doesn’t need to speak the words I feel coming from her at this moment –I know them as if there were my own.” “I can’t promise it will always be easy, but it will always be perfect for us.” “I love you, Reagan. I choose you. I will always choose you – choose me.”

A great romance that made me feel like I was in the story. Loved!
4.5 starsThis is my 2nd book by Rebecca Shea and I can’t express how much I love her style of writing. The words flow and I don’t even know I’m reading…it’s like I exist within the story. But maybe that is because I “get” the characters. I become them even though I might still be very different. Ms. Shea has a way of transporting me and I will read anything she writes.I loved Landon in Unbreakable and couldn’t wait to get to know him. As soon he saw Reagan he got that special feeling, and I was excited because I could feel it too. The chemistry wasn’t one sided and the sparks flew both ways, but I had to be patient to see them get together. However, it wasn’t that simple and the back stories (the ones we learn about later) are sad and still very raw. Both Landon and Reagan had baggage and secrets that were told to the reader a little bit at a time. Both needed to take a leap of faith and trust the other.I loved how strong both of the main characters were. At first both characters were skeptical of dating, but couldn’t deny their attraction and just how natural it was to be with the other. Before long though Reagan wore her heart on her sleeve and just straight up told Landon to let her love him. I was fist pumping everywhere. Landon on the other hand, well he didn’t admit to anyone, much less himself that he was ready to love and be loved. That was the part that I savored. Yes I wanted them together, but I love to drag it out! That part was done beautifully.Landon, oh you delicious man with a soul you. He was FINE. But you know what I could have liked more of? More info on his tattoos. He apparently had a lot of ink on him, and some of them were mentioned, but not enough. And they had to be important to him.I’m a greedy reader…so I want everything. In particular I wanted to know more about their jobs, as it would have really rounded out the characters. Clearly both Reagan and Landon chose professions because of their pasts, so I knew their careers had to be important, yet were barely mentioned. I wanted to know if they had a good or bad day at work. If Reagan delivered a baby and it made her feel good, if Landon made a bust that got his juices flowing…you get the idea.So now that you know I loved the main characters, you should know I loved the secondary ones too. Lindsay was fantastic, so much so that I truly can’t wait to read her story. She had plenty of mystery surrounding her, and I know there’s so much more to her than meets the eye. I can’t wait!I want to touch on one last part of the story, the one about Lindsay and Landon’s mother. Ooh, I definitely didn’t like her and I don’t think I was supposed to. I’m not sure I would have brought her into the picture though. Maybe just had her discussed but no appearance…I don’t know. Or, maybe she needed to be a weaker, more selfish character so that her personality was consistent with her storyline. I’m not sure, but something about that just threw me a little. However, it really, truly worked out fabulously. The ending was great, a HEA that made my heart sing. It also made me so excited for Lindsay and Matt. I will definitely be ready for the next book the very second it’s published.

Another amazing book by Rebecca shea.
I loved Landon in book 1 and my heart broke for him when he fell for Jess but she ended up going back to Gabe. You love Landon but he wasn't right for Jess.In book 2 this is Landons story and you get to see the player side ;) when him and matt go out for drinks he meets Reagan a waitress, but there is more to Reagan than meets the eye, she's not a waitress she's a Dr.I love the fact she makes Landon work for her affection and doesn't just give herself to him.The chemistry between these 2 is explosive but like I say the course to love never runs smoothly and you will hit plenty of bumps in the road in this book, it will leave you gripped to the edge of your seat, once again Rebecca has written a gripping book thats full of Romance, friendship and angst I cant wait to read Matt and Lindsey's story.... if the first two books are anything to go by we are in for a right treat!!!!

Amazing story with fantastic narration
Amazing story - the characters are so real and the writing makes you really get inside them. The narration on this audiobook is superb - Zach Villa is just the right voice for the main character. Recommend all Rebecca Shea's stories - all her characters are so well described you can picture them and the storylines are great.
